I totally agree with you! having 4 screenwriters and 2 directors, we definitely see the plot disconection. The best thing from this drama is the ML, Liu Xue Yi has done an awesome job in this drama. we have seen him here in many different ways (revengeful, hate, arrogant, love, sad, funny, angry, etc) and he has done it well everytime! I put it on hold too, waiting for more episode to be out before start watching again because after ep18 I completely lost all expectation. I will watch the remaning episodes only for ML and CP. I don't care anymore if there's a happy ending for the leads. only hope that ML get a successful revenge and clear his name.

Definitely felt like a genre switch or that I was watching another drama with the same leads!

I really enjoyed seeing Liu Xue Yi in a romance mode, (I haven't watched all is drama, 2-3 at most and This is the first time I see him being romantic) he looks so adorable, plus with a breathtaking smile.
Now that said, I felt that all that cute and romantic moments doesn't belongs to the the character of Murong Jing He or the story of KMLM! Its not realistic for this drama because: He's the Master of shadow, he poisoned her, she now has less than a year to live! I understand that now that he got to know her he has fallen in love with her, but he haven't shown not a glimpse of regret for poisining her or for all she had to endure during the training as an assassin. He do know that the journey ahead is unclear and full of obstacle, one or both of them can die during their path to revenge. The real Murong Jing He wouldn't show so much affection before a successful revenge. so for me the scenes of ep 17-18 were cute but wrong timing in the drama

For me so far all Princess scenes are fillers, nothing important from that caracter for the story development

I am an international audience. I was kinda new to C-drama when I watched FIYS. At that time I didn't knew anything about the cast and haven't seen any of their work , I choosed the drama because of the rating and synopsis. The whole cast of FYIS did a really good job... except her.. she was so expresionless! couldn't figure out only by looking at her if she was happy, angry, sad, etc. However, I am glad that I watched the drama because I got to see the good work of the rest of the cast. after that I watched many of the other actors work.

If an "actor/actress" can't express emotions that person shouldn't be acting, but learning how to act, and when they learn then pursue the career. I do expect that EVERY actor/actress should be able to express emotions. I agree that some are better than others but a completely expresionless actor/ actress can make a good drama with good script and good actors fail and get bad rating
