Yep! It's almost like love at first sight for Jianjian. How she has treated Ziqiu is so different - she bites…
From the start I think ZQ referring to JJ's dad as his own dad established a little tension.
(And can I add that the scene where the young ZQ first calls out 'Pa!' to Hai Chao -- it gets to me every time I watch it. How could anyone not love that kid.)
The spark is about to start between Mingyue and Ziqiu. Zhuang Bei is about to get his own medicine from Mingyue.…
I'm going to be honest, I have a hard time summoning up a lot of sympathy for MY. When she brought that manga book out to the breakfast table it was just plain mean. I think she's still bitter and we haven't seen the last of it.
Any recommendations for LX and LJ similar love story? The usual ML in love all along with FL or the going away…
I recommend 'Wait, My Youth' (on here it's simply 'My Youth'). It starts as enemies-to-lovers in high school but when the leads get older there is a period where the ML spends a long time away and then comes back. (And, like LX, for the entire time he's away he remains focused on the FL.) There's a decidedly happy ending too, no ambiguity whatsoever.
Jianjian is so precious for Ling Xiao that he's so gentle with her fearing of breaking her, whereas Ziqiu choke…
Notice how when she talked about the family registries she made a point of saying that LX was not part of her own family registry - instead he was the eldest son in a different family - whereas she considered ZQ to be family without a registry being necessary.
She seemed to be subtly setting the stage for when ZQ finally learns what's up.
Sometimes, when the show writers get things right, they get things really right. I still really appreciate that…
For me, aside from "the kiss", their lunch together was the key scene in today's two episodes.
I was caught up short when LX pointed out to MY that through all the years that he was in Singapore and exchanging messages, she never asked him how he was doing or what was happening with him, so how could she think that she really "liked" him.
The new eps on iQIYI are released at 12 noon where I live so I schedule my lunch for that time and watch one.
I must be one of thousands doing something similar because even though I have a very good internet provider, iQIYI always hangs so much that I have to drop down first to 720p resolution and sometimes to 360p in order to keep watching. :)
Yep, it seems My Day got trapped in a static dimension and just recently rejoined our timeline. While the rest…
It's the bottom of the barrel. Spend some time watching other series in between episodes of this one and it will be even more stupefying than before. Honestly I think this series is just an exploitation ploy.
Anything that becomes overwhelming popular inspires fake versions and imitators who cash in. As the audience we need to stop lapping up everything 'BL' that gets posted to a YouTube page. Behind the scenes they're just laughing at us.
I love the romance because Ling Xiao hasn't hidden it at all all these years; it's just so subtle in everything…
I find I can't get worked up about their romance either. I just love watching their scenes together.
For me LX is no different than someone you might have grown up with over many years, who visited your house all the time and frequently stayed overnight, who eventually became so involved with your family that you started to refer to them as part of the family.
I'm sure countless people fall in love with friends like that.
The way JJ is always calling LX and ZQ her brothers seems to be a sticking point for many people. But it's the term that a young girl might start to use when she's constantly in the company of boys, to keep from being teased or even just to reassure herself: they're not my 'boyfriends', they're like brothers to me.
And as for LX, he might not have considered JJ like a 'sister' for even a second. I certainly don't recall him ever actually referring to JJ as his sister. (Does anyone else remember him doing that? Because maybe he did lol.) Maybe if he'd been more forthcoming about his feelings when they were younger it wouldn't seem so strange to people now that they're adults.
It's also notable that HC's concern about ZQ's interest in JJ was that if their romance faltered it might permanently affect their friendship. He didn't react as though ZQ's interest was immoral.
It was a moment of high comedy when LX, after making JJ even more dizzy over his feelings for her, had just left to go upstairs to bed when ZQ immediately came bounding in to make his own confession. That was some funny stuff! xD
I also think that there is some heavy drama when he went to Singapore that hasn't aired and it was very hard for…
Exactly! LX has been sure about his feelings and hinting at them for years, and JJ just didn't seem to catch on. He needed to step it up or risk losing her.

The things ZQ said during his conversation with the co-worker's boyfriend rather dazzled me. Maybe they dazzled her too.
They certainly know how to keep me guessing as to who ZQ's "endgame" partner will turn out to be.
