Xianxia is never my thing but I find this drama exceptional.

Chemistry between ML and FL is burning the screen. Far better than what we see in most regular Romance dramas with longer episodes today. And they're great actors too.

This drama deserves higher rating that it's getting.

First in E9 when 2nd ML came with lots of gifts and proclamations of love. She didn't try to stop or discourage him.
Is there not something similar with Ruyi and Yunxi? There's always a side distraction and she never tries to stop them.

I guess you think I'm one of the haters? Not at all. I like JJY a lot. She's beautiful and is actually a top tier actress.
I've watched only 4 of her dramas: Legend of Yunxi, The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion, Legend of the White Snake and In Blossom. In all aforementioned, I liked her the most in LWS where she had to make sacrifices for love.
But in Yunxi and Ruyi she had admirers and she flirted with them in spite of the MLs. I'm seeing the same thing play out in this drama again (although, I'm still in E11)
That's the ONLY issue I'm having. It's not about the actress at all, but the role.

JJY is becoming the same person in all her dramas. Love one guy and flirt with the guy's rival in his presence. Why does she have to play this role all the time? It's annoying!

I'm really sad and dissatisfied about the ending for these reasons:

1) There was no explanation as to the cause of FL's death. Was it the family curse or as a result of being drained by the evil Grandmaster?

2) What is the cause of ML's blindness? Did he later marry FL, cos he inscribed on her grave "My Wife"?

3) I can understand why SFL is still alive cos she's a demon, but how did SML live up to 100 years and is still looking healthy even though his hair is white?

Those who initially rated this drama above 8 points are to blame for this disappointment.

I know ML is dumb and doesn't want to improve but I think I may have overrated Mai too. She's not really as smart as they want us to believe.

Suddenly Chang Yu Wing's character is pushed to the corner and he's supposed to be a main role?

I think I understand why the rating quickly went down to 7.9

Ep 35, from my unpopular yet favorite character.

"I didn't disappoint boss this time, did I?"

He's actually my favorite character. He's easily swayed and so hilarious.

Where can I find English subtitles for Ep35 - 40. I downloaded the videos and later found out they don't have English translations. Or did I just waste my time? 😭

I stopped watching after Lin Lang died. I dgaf what happens next. She's been my all time favorite, my crush.

We haven't seen a sincere hug yet talk more a kiss. It's always the issue with Dilrabat. I don't know why she gets featured in Romance series; and I don't understand why this one is tagged Romance too. So far, all we've seen is a kiss on the forehead and the lovestruck gaze.

In The Long Ballad, the best we got from her was a scene where two birds kissed. Oh *#$++1-3!

I have a feeling we may not lose ML as some speculate. There's no 'tearjacker' in the tags lol!

I'm hoping to see one Cdrama where karma meets with an evil member of the imperial family (whoever it is). Where he or she is severely punished and exposed for their atrocities; not giving them an easy death like drinking poison or dying of heart attack. The way they're worshipped is annoying.

Yeah. I mean, after 10 years of training and grooming I expected her to know the role she was paid to play. And even if she must be an ungrateful backstabber she ought to strategic at least and not be anybody's pawn.
