Picky eater Ten who? That's just Off masquerading as Ten. And if anyone snitches on how many times I replayed the scene with Metha and Ten - Ten lying about a cousin's wedding - then I'd simply call you a liar.
And Ten is so cute, I just want to squish him! Like, this is the cutest Off character ever!
I'm exhausted, so I'll try to write my full thoughts soon. Episode 3 was too cute.
Oh, and I LOVE Samsi and Dy together! They make a wonderful comedic duo relief.
I was leaning more so to the abusive side since Ten already seems to have a um rocky relationship with his dad.…
I took every all of that into consideration. I know from the trailer, the dad is abusive given how he slapped Ten and how he speaks unkindly to Prem.
And I agree. This is comedy, and they won't go down this road (it didn't stop me from musing out loud because I tend to overthink when it comes to a specific character). In the future though, I'd love to see Off play such a character. He has the potential for it. That's true what you said about GMM and that's exactly what I like about them.
I wouldn't mind if Ten was a character on the spectrum. Although I doubt that's where they're going with it. It…
Yes, I know that this is not where they're going with the character, and as this is comedy, I don't think they'll want to go down the road with this personality. Haha! Exactly!
I watched 'CC' for the nth time and I'm wondering something: is Ten on the spectrum? I could be wrong, but the way he keeps adjusting his glasses and the fact that he dislikes physical touches. Or maybe he's a germaphobe because he likes everything neat and tidy? Or maybe he doesn't want Prem to touch him because in the first episode, Prem calls him a jinx and he's afraid to "jinx" Prem? Or does he react that way because his father was/is abusive?
Or maybe I am just reading too much into an interesting character?
I could be wrong and maybe his character is just "nerdy" after all, but I'd love to see Off play a character on the spectrum.
Anyway, I've been watching both cut and uncut versions, and I can say that the uncut version is better detailed. I especially love the part where Prem tried to calculate things he could sell (his belongings) to cover Pang's tuition fees. The doc was his last resort and this gives a different perspective on things.
And Prem's "please!" *Rolls eyes* Prem knows very well what he was doing just by saying please and batting his pretty eyes like that. Prem, please! Haha! Doc should know that what goes around comes around.
The scene with Ten sitting in the restaurant (after he agrees to take the cooking course) and staring at the place he and his family used to sit is perhaps my favorite scene in this episode. He's yearning for the sense of love he used to feel, comfort, familiarity, and home. It's the reason why he loves Prem's cooking so much because he seems to find all of these things he's yearning/searching for in Prem's food.
Aungpao... I can't give him enough credit! I've been impressed with him since day 1! His comedic timing is on point and he has proven that he can hold his own with the veterans. The future looks bright for him. Pim is also doing a fine job. Can't wait for the 3rd episode!
That is all I can say for now. Since I'm spending time with my family, I'll comment better later when I have some time to myself. Although, I can't help but think that some of TenPrem's storyline was inspired by the real-life OG themselves.
I have so much to say, but since I already used up all my energy, all I'm going to say is that I found Vee and Rin too cute in the last two episodes. And give my girl, June, a worthy main role already!
