this is exactly why i watch cdramas in thai subs even tho i am not the best in thai cuz im only 50% thai but yea it is way better cuz thai and chinese idioms are so similar and those deep meaning words in thai and chinese are almost interchangable and wetv translators for thai subs are the best they will leave the chinese words in when they dont find a similar or even just a little bit close idiom and then they will write in brackets below explaining the word like bicang and like when the ml was saying in the mortal realm that he was going to sell ginseng the bracket below said ginseng sounds the same as body and then when male lead said the word "shen( as for ginseng)" thai subs said ginseng and when fl said "shen(for body)" thai subs translated it as body so i guess that's the wonder of languages.

but one of the other genres that i absolutely love is the an ancient love song genre as that is the only drama with that genre but it is absolutely amazing. ml and fl are from different timeline and the last episode is the first and the first is the last it is so damn good but only 14 eps and 30 mins but if you want something to watch while waiting for shenli i would highly recommend it.
