I would just like to add that, her reaction might have also been because of her personality. In the first episode, when her ex's wife threw water on her, she didnt lash out at her. She explained things and even took her to the hospital. I think thats just the kind of person Tak Dong Kyung is. So, I think it was also a sort of natural instinct to help Myeol Mang. Also, like @Candy mentioned. They have a love hate relationship. I think, viewing the situation from Tak Dong Kyung's perspective will help understand the whole situation better . I think the circumstances/situations which she had to face forced her. She clearly didn't want to make a deal with Myeol Mang. But if she didn't she would have to die at that intersection. So basically, she accepted the contract because Myeol Mang saved her. Following this, he came with the clause that if she breaks the contract, the person she loves the most at that moment would die instead of her. So whatever happened between them, yes its quite fast when you compare it to other dramas, and yes some of it is a bit confusing, but the more you watch, the more it makes sense. From what I understood, it seems like a joke. I mean, he was able to turn off her phone and make the lights flicker or shut down the electric supply to that cafe but, he also did a lot more than that. Like marking March 2nd on her calendar, closing the door when she tried to escape, teleport her to his house ? Things like that..There's also other examples but if it'd be a lot if I list em' all out ^^. So yeah, I think it was a joke.

I'm not really sure if its right, but this is what I understood so far. So on Myeol Mang's [MM] birthday, the other deity asked him to grant one wish to any human being. And Dong Kyung [DK] wished upon the shooting stars to bring Doom to this world. But that was to the shooting stars. MM who heard this, came in person so that DK could make the same wish to him. But she refused. So MM said that he would rid her of any pain that comes her way for the next 99 days and also to die without pain. Therefore, the contract is for DK to make a wish that will bring Doom to the world before she dies and for MM to make sure that she doesnt feel any sort of pain for the next 99 days. And if she fails to make a wish before she dies, the person who she loves the most at that moment will die instead of her.
