Hi I realize the ending might not be very clear for non-Chinese speakers. This is my take on it. Spoiler ahead…
I totally forgot that nan feng is the modern actor's name of the ML. I was like thinking whos nan feng when they mentioned him at the end 😂.
But seriously, its a good thing they didnt go to that route of ML and FL waking up in the modern world. I was cringing at the romance of the rose and the tiger ending. This ending is rather better.

the way the Fl said about its a dream within a dream is implementing that even her real modern world is a story and nan heng character showing up in modern world. So obvious duh 😂😂
Love how the story is so well-written and looks like most of all actors are veteran. The newer actors have so good qualities.
Im just disappointed they kill off tong-er tho. Like i should have seen thay come when jiang li said that shes gonna let tonger travel, study and start a business. Whyy?? That actress is so pretty and so young, have really have long lashes lol.
Also, what are the age gaps on between all characters? Because the emperor and xiao heng seems like the same age. Wanning should be older than shen yurong as he is the same age group with jiang li. That prince is maybe like 5-10yrs older or was teenager when he tried to kill the young emperor and went to war. So im guessing all of them have different ages
Anyways, im just curious. I just got back watching cdramas ever since i got busy. Ive been watching few of them in Netflix, however, i noticed that the quality is so clear that i can see the dryness of the make up and even erase makeup spots everytime they have close ups.
Is netflix too 4k HD or has cdramas given up with skin tone filters lol??
I dont really watch a lot of crime thrilling dramas but i got hook right away because of quick and direct to the point. Hope it doesnt trail away from its thrilling
