It’s 40 episodes drama, 100 millions for episode it’s 4billion, if it was 50 episodes it will be 5billions. But it’s not important because it’s not web drama, it wasn’t only on one platform, it was broadcasted on tv. Also it has a law statement because there were too many pirates on other sites where you can watch it for free. The real numbers it’s rating from all platforms and it was 3, tots bigger 2 times.
And aslo I want something big and xiao zhan - centric that time!!! Not second lead, not main, but focus on others, not cameo, but something heavy and expensive!!!

It could be faster, 3 years was due to re-doing cgi because of xz sudden popularity and then because of his scandal. Usually it took 1 year if actors/story are still popular

Even for know it’s 4th most rated dorama in douban history and it is not even ended yet. It tops everyday rating of all doramas in the country since it started. And xiao zhan topped the best actor. 6 million people watched it online on cctv app just for one episode, and it’s not even count in tv ratings or tencent. It number one in wetv.
The dorama is half way to be a hit. Last years Chinese males fantasy doramas became flop. If this one is succeeding we will see more of this, not just romantic fantasies for girls (not like they are bad).
Douluo continent has already surpassed both: the wolf and the legend of fei in viewers on douban! It twice more in numbers. And it’s only 12 episode for free and 25 for vips. But still is far-far away from the untamed.
