The excuse for forgiving her father makes my blood boil. It is so stupid and toxic. I've seen dumb redemption archs before but this might be the absolute worst.
I think it's interesting that her best seduction technique turned out to be totally unintentional. The real turning points was when he saw her self harming. Then he knew her stuff about needing to be healed wasn't BS.
It took me about half the episodes to realize all the weird sex scenes have very clear metaphors and innuendos, but the only one I can't figure out for the life of me is the sheets moving around and fake fruit spitting out....this show is so wonderfully weird lol
On episode 13 now and the reveal of that seemingly alruistic soldier actually smuggling drugs was fantastic. Basically "I will do everything I can to bring my comrades' remains home... because they are filled with heroin!"
Ah the good old "I don't want you two together because I want to protect you from the prejudice you might face" while also suggesting he's gay because he was lonely and didn't have a good relationship with her. The only prejudice they are feeling so far is from you.
I was concerned for a second when SH asked herself why she couldn't forgive JK. I thought she might give up her revenge, but it was so perfect that JK continued to show no remorse and got exactly what she deserved. I just feel sorry for JK's poor cell mates. Can you imagine how annoying she will be? Lol
I think we were led to think it was a girl because for some reason the subbers thought it was a girl but the writer…
I thought that was a possibility since Korean tends to be pretty gender neutral. But it doesn't change the fact they showed a mole in both places in JK and bakery woman
The writers are just retconning whatever they want in these extended episodes. Changing paternity secrets, genders of stolen babies, etc. It's kind of funny how little they care.
Just finished the show! I may do a full review at some point, but here are my general thoughts on the show:PROS:…
That was my exact problem with the show too. None of the obstacles really turned out to be obstacles at all. I still really liked it but I wasn't expecting that aspect.
