No, when his father got to know that he is applying for police entrance exam then he locked lu chen up.... So they have not showed whether he wrote the exam or not....also the university he got admitted to was under finance and administration.....

Looks like only i am confused here and has many questions in each ep...
So Lu Chen repeated a year because he couldn't attend the 1st paper of GaoKhao. So he was in the same year as Gui Xiao. But he got admitted to a university in finance and administration before the school year end or writing Gao Khao??????

I understood the story of his mother divorcing his dad with whom she had Lu Chen and marrying her second husband and then her police husband died. She went back to her ex husband (who is current also)....but this guy abuses his biological son for no apparent reason...This part did not make sense to me...i mean, it was his wife who left him and came back so how is Lu Chen responsible for any of this....why hit him....

When she was narrating the story to that kid....she was like his name was Lu Chen and later he changed it to Lu Yan Chen.....In school i always heard him as someone is who is handsome but never got to meet him

I thought Lu Chen is Gui Xiao's batchmate. But he has missed his Gaokao, is about to repeat a year and as same year as Gui Xiao...its confusing. Was he always her senior? did i miss it?
