I don't think there will be a S2, no one has talked about it yet. But I really hope there will be a second season…
It's disappointing. A second season to give us more clues about the main events of the story, some plot twist and a happy ending would have been great. I feel like I have been teased a season 2 and I'm left to starve.
Currently watching the 5th episode. I have many things to say but in short, all the characters are so lovely. I just want them to be happy. Also, most of the time, mental illness is so badly depicted in drama or movies, and people with mental illness are presented as crazy people who are psycho or lacking of humanity. The way the drama dealt with Haru's problems and show how painful it is for him, how it impacts his daily life, his relationship with his friends and family, is much more realistic but also heartwarming, because the drama encourage the viewer to feel a lot of empathy for him. All the boys relationships are amazing, by the way. I didn't reach half of the episodes, but I know I'll miss it at the end.
I'm watching episode 2 and god I already love this drama so much. Friendship, whump, hurt/comfort, zero romance and the characters are all likable. I love them all but Haru is so adorable. Please mama Haru let him walk with Hosu he's so happy about it T_T
This season was a disaster in regard to the season 1 in my opinion, but the last episode is fascinating anyway for the parallel and sub-text about the post-war griefs Korea still feel against Japan.
I love the setting, the side and main characters, and how fantastical events are used to address real issues. The series as some flaw, but it's by far one of my favorite historical/fantasy/horror drama. In my opinion, the season 1 is a masterpiece, but the second season is a disaster. It's better to stop at the end of the season 1.
Currently watching the 4th episode. It's lovely. The actors are good, the character are lovely. I love the growing relationship between the brothers, the talking dog or even Yui. The story's atmosphere is peaceful. It's a shame it's so hard to find a platform to watch it with subs. I can understand a small amount of japanese and it's still hard.
This is equally cute, funny and original. I love that weird, musical, colorful world and all its absurdity, begining with the fact you can get a big brother from a gatcha machine.
This movie cross the expectation of horror to tell something about real horror : isolation and loneliness. It's probably better to not watch it as a "horror" movie but more like a fantastic one with a social discourse about modern societies. The lore of this universe is also original and interesting for once. Most horror movies lack of this.
I must admit, the final twist really surprised me. I didn't expect this. The fact it's from a true story made it even more tragic.
It was story about an abusive relationship between a mother and her son. I enjoyed it. The way the movie is told was smart. From the beginning, the viewer knows the mother is a deficient one who care about her own pleasure more than her son's well-being. The fact she missed work without a serious reason while her son miss school because he's bullied already tell the careless mindset she has, and rather than putting her son (who has a graze) on her bike, she rides and let him run because it's more comfortable for her.
The characters were fascinating to understand. The mother is a self-centered spoiled child who refuse to take her responsibilities as a parent. The family's roles are reversed. In some way, the mother depends on her son more than he does. That's why she made him emotionally dependent on her. She only shows him love when he's useful. She's also cruel, scare him or break his confidence so she can keep him under her control. Like many children under their parent's control, he can't escape her, even when he got opportunities to get some independence.
Tragically, he got free from his mother in the end, due to the consequence of her last request.
OMG THANKS FOR YOUR REVIEW. I had to scroll all the way down to find a single comment that actually talks about…
Ah ah! It's okay. I just ignore people who are there for the drama. They have too much time to lose in my opinion and I prefer focusing on the story i saw. I hope you enjoyed it too!
Now I finished the drama, I can tell I enjoyed it. Not as much as I did at the beginning, but it was nice. I really loved the characters, especially the MC, the second lead and the ex-bully.
The plot surrounding the school and their family was nice, , but I didn't get invested in the "gangster" plot. I also agree the end was rushed on some point (especially for the mother who heal too easily.)
I'm not entirely satisfied with the conclusion where Yi Heon died to let the main character live. I think it take away all the efforts Deuk Pal did for him and made the story end weirdly. It feel like it's supposed to be an happy ending since the gangster survive, but it only lead to an end when the depressed teenager stay depressed and choose death.
At the same time… well, Yi Heon already died when he jumped. Sadly, I think it's also true some people give up and can't be saved. The message could have been interesting, but if it was their intention, it was clumsy. I feel like they just wanted to save the gangster and choose the easy way without thinking about the message itself.
Anyway, the show wasn't perfect, but it was really enjoyable.
Deukpal parenting and teaching the bullies in his own gangster way made me smile. I love that dynamic.
Also, I'm really intrigued by Sekyung. The fact he acted selfishly to protect himself when Yiheon asked for help, the remorse he felt after Yiheon disappeared… his reactions are really on point for a teenager, especially with his background. He feels really "human".
Sekyung looked emotionally and maybe physically abused by his father. It breaks my heart how all the kids lack of good parental guidance and love.
I really enjoy this story so far. Can't wait for the next.
It's the first time I can't wait for a drama to be over before watching it. I was really interested by the synopsis…
Even if they removed the same-sex romance, I guess his secret was he was gay. If that's so, I hope they won't censor that, despite picturing a bromance in the end.
It's the first time I can't wait for a drama to be over before watching it. I was really interested by the synopsis and so far, I loved the first two episodes. I was a little afraid they would go in the wrong direction with that "mafia leader in a teenager body" but I love how Kim Deuk Pal has immediate compassion for Yi Heon and do his best to make his life better. The way he act with the teacher, with the other students, his mother… he doen't do stupid things and he's really concerned about the boy he took the body. I'm also really intrigued by his relationship with Choi Se Kyung. I wonder where they will go.
Honestly, people talked about it like an amazing serie and it was good, but I thought it was a little overrated.
Of course, you want to see the end, but it's also really too long for what they have to say about it. 16 episodes could have been resumed in 8 easily. The characters felt one-dimensional and not really realistic. The build-up was too long the end felt unsatisfying to my taste.
It's not bad, but I don't think it's that good either.

Indeed, a very good movie.
