I started watching this for Wang Xingyue, but stayed for Liang Yongqi (Shen Yurong) and Li Meng (Princess Wanning). I know their characters are unlikeable but their acting is so captivating (better than the leads' imo).
Plus, I think their dynamic is cool (powerful woman x weak man), they have really good chemistry too.
i think this is the type of drama that you will see in a different light once you find out all the hidden details.
i saw a comment say that LLH never had any medical skills. he only prescribes the same type of medicine patches because in reality, he uses yangzhouman (by doing little movements) to cure his patients. although his patients usually aren't gravely ill, he still uses some of his inner power to cure them (and he had a lot of patients in those 10 years). he knew that using his inner power will worsen the bicha poison but he still helped his patients. π

Yes, I watched the whole drama. It's been awhile since I've finished watching it so I can't remember much, I watched some clips to recall some parts. Deng Lun did a lot for Li Qin when she was hospitalized and the Sakura was a big deal for them that Deng Lun made some Sakura bouquet or something while Li Qin was still hospitalized and waited for her outside the hospital room while holding the bouquet when she was in danger (these are some scenes that made me consider them as "lovers"). Sure, maybe "lovers" is an overstatement but there was some romance between them imo.
For people who don't know, Li Qin and Deng Lun were lovers/paired in episode 15 and 16 in Chinese drama "With you" (the one about covid or ε¨δΈθ΅·). You can watch ep15-16 without watching the previous episodes.
If this is the final cast then it will be a reunion for them!
It would have been a very cute and nice drama, if it wasn't for the propaganda and abusive behaviour.

I'm currently on ep19 and ml is getting on my nerves, following the girl's car not letting her to date another man and ofc kissing her without her consent.
The drama's Douyin (Chinese Tiktok) account suddenly posted edits three days ago and earlier, which is unusual since this drama has finished airing a long time ago so they don't really need to promote it anymore. There's a chance of this drama getting a 2nd season! I believe there hasn't been any official announcement but a lot of people are expecting/asking for for season 2 ever since they posted.
Update: Still no announcement :( but they're still updating their Douyin account.
