I love simple stories. A simple, silly story can still be well-written and well-paced. But like you said everyone is entitled to their opinion and I am happy to know you are having fun and loving it. I also had fun but can’t help but feel they could’ve done more with their characters. The ingredients were there but they didn’t use them all.

He is very hot and I love the acting. I don’t have issues with that or the chemistry . My issue is solely in the plot and pacing of the story that had so much potential and I don’t feel that it lived up to it.

This drama started with so much potential and it was drained on a sink.

I HATED Maeda as a person but as a character she is a very interesting villain and Claudia Kim gave the best performance in this drama in my opinion. If an actress can make you hate the villain, you know she is doing a phenomenal job. She didn’t disappoint!

Agree, I highly doubt this drama would be aired in Japan.

Although I get your point, I don’t think there would be any willing Japanese actor that would like to play such a horrible historical characters. The worst of past Japan.

Look down the comments and you will see that a lot of fans don’t know anything about Korean history, and yes some people were looking for romance and not politics.

Unit 731 took place in China but that doesn’t mean that there weren’t any Korean victims. There were 4 that are known of, there could have been even more. Please do not try to argue me, it will not make you look better.

You can’t improve now without looking back at history. Also art should not be censored and can include any form of political statement.
Let Koreans speak about its history, you have no right to try to censor them. If Vietnam wants to make a show about their traumatic past, they have all the right to do the same.
I am American but if Vietnam talks shit about what the U. S did during the Vietnam war, I support them!!! Speak the truth, not fluff.

I read the replies till the end and I am glad that you accepted that what you said was wrong. The only people that deserved to be tortured and bombarded were the government and officials who acted on these hideous crimes. Not the innocent civilians as not every civilian agrees with their government.

What really angers me is that the Japanese government never once punished or fired the people who committed such a horrid experiments. They also never acknowledged or apologized for all the wrong doings done on innocent Chinese and Korean civilians.

No but seriously, educate yourselves. You can’t claim to love a country and yet not know their history. Liking kdramas and K-pop does not equal knowing SK’s culture. That’s just like 0.1% of what SK is.

I don’t think the show was that bad. Also a lot of kdrama fans need to really take a history course and educate themselves on the problematic past of Japan and why it is such a big deal. This show is about the war crimes that Japan committed. If you do not want that, watch a different kdrama.

Being entertaining does not mean you are dating material.

Yes even though I do not like him, I would not go to his profile and HARASS HIM. That is very low of viewers.
