I just realized that I haven't added this drama into my list although I finished it long ago. Yeah, it's a bit... "forgettable" but I remember feeling entertained when I watched this and I completed it too. As someone who watches a lot dramas (it's an understatement actually, I consume almost every entertainment content I could get my hands on), there are only a few contents that I would remember so it was totally normal for me to forget most of the dramas I watched although I may have liked/loved them when I was still watching.
All in all, I suggest you don't mind the reviews that much and try to see it for yourself especially if you like romace fantasies and parallel worlds.

Yep. People have different preferences. I learned to accept this because of MDL and MAL too. I love dark, heavy and open plots which a lot of people don't like so it would be hard for me to find dramas I like if I keep minding the ratings.
I'm on episode 8 right now. As an international fan I still can't relate much on the patriotic sentiments of the drama. Gao Liang's character, at first glance, is definitely a Gary Stue so I I knew what to expect. I definitely liked Gu Yiye's character more. Based on the synopsis however, we are still on the early parts of the drama and Gao Liang will be the center of the story later?
I'm still gonna continue watching this though. It's an "ok" drama for me.
