I am with you there - though I am tempted because I'm currently loving Stand By Me, and his acting is so highly praised here, I will heed the words of everyone who says not to put myself through torment. I really dislike tragic endings. So I'll just keep enjoying Stand by Me, and see if any of his other roles are worth watching.

I really really love her in Stand by Me, definitely a stand-out performance, she is sinister and scary, but mysterious and sympathetic as well. I loved her in The Untamed, but this role has made me a fan of hers. Her character feels like a lead, not a support.
