Feel for Gang Ju. All his life up to now he thought if he showed he was a good son he would have a father figure in his life he could count on. Only the very man he was trying to prove himself to apparently saw him as necessary baggage he had to endure to get where he wanted to be in life and nothing more. The Chairman even referred to him as a bastard.

He has been that way the entire show. His attempts to be a big brother figure to Da Rim really painted him as more of a-hole than a caring brother.

You are so right. I wrote before that I think the writers made a major mistake. If they had left that hard crush on TU out the of story and just had the ML and FL flirting with each other it would have been so much more natural and believable. They could have still dragged them actually getting together out without that unnecessary crush that in the end went no where.
