This show was good when it came out but season 2 felt wasted and sort of a filler. Season 3 tried and though some moments were great, others didn't live up to the hype I had from season 1
They killed off too much of the main cast from season 1 and replaced them with characters who we donโt care about, or know enough about to care
Not to mention Eun Hyeok became a shell of his character
24 episodes? Po better be in all of the couple's stories cause' he's literally the only saving grace of this series.
Sea was a nice surprise. Hes been one of my favorite since Vice Versa and Last Twilight made me love him more
Perth and santa? Never saw that coming and that lil cameo they had didnt make me too excited for their story but who knows. I might be surprised.
I'm excited to see JuniorMark in My Wedding Scammer but here, not so much. They literally have zero chemistry as these characters. Faifa is too clingy, too cringe and doing way too much. Wine looks like he wants to take a train to literally anywhere just to get away from him lol.
As soon as the show dropped, I couldn't contain my excitement like it's Song Kang so obviously ๐. Here's my review:
The show starts off strong and intense, but then came the unnecessary and annoying side characters who unfortunately did not die off, the unanswered questions and the lack of screentime for the leads, especially Song Kang and Lee Jin Wook who were reduced to cameo appearances. I saw them in episode 1 and then they just basically disappear till the 2 last episodes. Hyun Soo, he's a complex character which leads me to the question of why he's now a one dimensional character- it's like he's lost the main thing that made him interesting. I wanted to see more of his fight with Sang Wook and the torture he endured in the lab but nope, they cut all those juicy parts to give us people we don't care about
The monsters, underwhelming and flat as ever, but on the bright side, we did get to see more of their complexity, from the good to the evil and the in between. Not all of them were out for blood, some wanted to protect and others wanted to live freely.
Season 1 was, by far better, though the budget for season two was higher. I felt like they were going around in circles and at some point, I just dazed throughout the scenes. Episode 3-6, were the most boring parts of this show because I was so lost ๐ญ. Like, how did Hyun Soo escape his solidified state? Is Ji Soo dead? How are the monsters being reborn? What deal was made between Hyun Soo and his monster? What happened to Sang Wook's leg? How did Yi Kyung's daughter grow up so fast? What's up with the lab in episode 8, what exactly happened there? Sang Wook couldn't use his abilities after being shot then suddenly when he touched Yi Kyung's fiance's corpse he's all good, what? What's up with chief Li? What's the background on the master sergeant Tak's family? Where has Hyun Soo been in the previous episodes ( like honestly, I'm so confused about him)?
The main reason we loved season 1 was the creative and realistic looking monsters, strangers becoming friends to protecting each other, the suspense, the main characters and of course HYUN SOO and season 2 lacked organization, development and the main characters whose screentime was cut short and especially Hyun Soo.
Episode 8 was the best, Eun hyuk returned and the cliffhanger proved exciting enough to watch season 3 which I hope will be better than whatever this was.
Dropped! I could not stand the wife! Like just leave if your so darn unhappy with your family. The husband obviously tries his hardest to provide for them and only the little boy appreciated him. The teenager girl was just annoying as hell, I guess it was passed down to her from the mother. Overall: bad writing, terrible pacing and some of the acting was off, especially with the wife, I don't understand why she spoke so slow and stiff
This family is ungrateful (not the little kid) as hell!
If there was a award for confidence, Shin would win first place. I get Minato not wanting to date a 'kid' but as far as know, legal age in Japan is 17 so he's basically at the age of consent. I say go for it and see how long it'll last, be happy but I'd advise Minato to not further their relationship until he's out of high school. He has only a year left, I'm sure Minato can wait. He's not that old that he can't
Let's start it off, is this series really worth watching? Yes, but if you can't deal with selfish and annoying people then your better off never watching it
I've always been one who sympathized with the so-called villains, I felt that they had a story more intriguing and more cut throat than the 'heroes'
#1, Lee Sung Hoon; I have never seen a character than deserved better than him. NEVER. He was locked up in a research lab for 12 years, he was a mere lab rat used to treat the illness of some rich old man. Everyone treated him like the bad guy when they never understood him. It pissed me off. Dr. Han, the woman who he saw his as his mother, she was the cause of both his and Sung Joon's misery.
Sung Joon was too kind, and that was saying something. He was way too nice, and put himself last, maybe that's why I came to dislike him as a character. He went through struggles, I'm not saying he didn't but all he had to do was hide for a couple years. He couldn't even start to imagine Sung Hoon's pain, none of them could.
Chief Jang was a annoying and selfish character who cared only for his needs, like they were the biggest problem of humankind. He was a terrible cop, because who on earth beats up victims without getting a proper statement? He pissed me off too. I understood he was worried for his daughter but man, how far do you have to go?!!!
The prosecutor lady made me so mad, yet she didn't. She was smart and selfish. She didn't indulge in Duek Cheon's foolishness and I liked that. Many thought she was annoying but she was blunt and careful, it's what made her a good character but that doesn't mean she didn't make me mad.
Back to the subject of Sung Joon and Sung Hoon. Sung Hoon wasn't your typical bad guy, he was a complex, complicated and dark character with emotions that others seem to just brush pass. I was mad at Sung Joon, why? because he got a happy ending
In my eyes, Sung Hoon is the most deserving character because everyone else pissed me off at sone point or another. Sung Hoon was messed up, I know, but you can't say that he didn't have obvious reasons. He was a character that I wanted to have a happy ending, but he just died. Died for freaking Sung Joon. I swear after his death, I didn't even bother watching the ending.
When Sung Joon was kidnapped and taken to the research lab, I was kinda happy. Only then would he see why Sung Hoon was so messed..
Sung Joon, I don't know, but I didn't I really didn't wish you a happy ending if Sung Joon wasn't in the mix. I still blame him for Sung Hoon's death. If only he hadn't chose strangers over his brother/clone twin or whatever.
Anyway, I wouldn't rewatch because I'm still mad. 5/10, for the sole cause that he died.
I waited for this drama for months and I'm ready to see their relationship grow and develop
I want to see how their different personalities will clash; I want s2 to be more real cause s1 was just a ending the fans wanted. There are many unanswered question that I hope they will explain and clarify especially Seo Joon's panic attacks that he gets when he hears loud noise and the reason why Ji Woo is so closed off and has no friends, did he experience something traumatic in the past? Was he neglected as a child? Does this have anything to do with his parents?
I want them to give more information on Ji Woo's and Seo Joon's respective parents and family, I wouldn't mind a episode where they meet each other's family if that is possible
I'm ready for the tears and happy smiles, also will this drama be released one time?
Why is no one talking about Dao confessing to Kluen is wrong when he knew that he had a girlfriend...though we…
Something about this comment makes sense. I mean Kluen was being shoved in a tight spot when Dao confessed. Nuea knew that he would leave and confessed, what other outcome did he expect? TBH I think Kluen was nice with his rejection. He didn't confess for fun, if the book was translated we'd know that Nuea loved him and often time did Kluen's art assignments anonymously because Kluen sucked at art. Kluen got confused at who kept doing over and handing in his work, only to find out it was Nuea. He didn't bust him though because who wouldn't want free labour especially when getting A's?
Nuea loved him but he wasn't brave enough to confess when he would see(* cough * stalk) Kluen everyday so his friends urge him to confess before he left because why not?
As for the girlfriend part, can't really blame Nuea. I've seen girls and guys confess to people who were supposedly in relationships, why? Well rejection or not, we'd still feel somewhat relieved to stop hiding it. Nuea didn't expect a reciprocation of his feelings, I mean there was only a 10%
Show is good, story is good and acting is good, what more do you all want?
It's a short bl with fluff and a bit of angst, we still have four episodes so why the rush? though it looks like Kluen will confess his feelings in next week's episode
Also for those saying that Kluen should just confess and stop being a baby, think if it was you confessing to a crush. It is never a good idea especially when that person shares the same group of friends with you, you'd have to see him/her everyday, despite the awkwardness and humiliation. I get why Kluen is hesitant but Dao is going almost on the same level as tine's obliviousness
Kluen is someone that thinks actions are louder than saying out what he really feels but Nuea doesn't seem to get that and thinks that Kluen is just being nice to avoid the awkwardness
As for Kluen's emotionless personality and monotone voice, you'd have to read the book to get a clearer understanding of why this is so
I got to say, the first half of this show was good, great even but the second half from 10 to 16 made me want to drop it. Good news though, I watched it without skipping any parts, but o couldn't bear ep 15 and 16, it was so freaking boring that I just dropped it then and there. I was so annoyed at Joo Won , he needs to quit his job or something cause those gut feelings he got was far away from the real truth and the only time he served a purpose was in ep 14 when he contributed something to the main plot and exposed his father. This show needed more suspense in the second part, it got predictable and drawn out, there was no need for 16 eps when only 10 could've made a bombshell of a thriller drama. I like Dong-Sik, his smile in ep 2 was the reason why I got the motivation to carry on this show and those creepy smiles and unpredictable laughs were spot on, he made the show.
Overall, I wouldn't say that I'd rewatch or watch a show with 16 or more eps again but it wasn't BAD SO I'LL GIVE A FAIR 6.5/10 FOR DONG-SIK'S SMILE ๐๐
So Kit finally made peace with Mark and stopped being so utterly stupid, I still have beef with him for being so mean to Mark but that hugging scene was way too cute so I half forgive him but knowing him ,if something like this pop up in the future again, he'll deal with it the same way and when that happens, I hope he acts like a responsible adult and deal with it properly instead of running away and hiding behind a computer screen
Also did I miss the apology because I'm sure Kit never apologized for what he did and why on earth did the directors drag their conflict up to the two last episodes, it was missed opportunity tbh.The screenwriter and directors wasted their potential as they served absolutely no purpose to the plot, but looking at it, none of them served a purpose to the non existent plot...maybe Sandee alone contributed something
And speaking about Sandee, why did they change him? he was the best part of this show and I'm still hoping he gets together with Phai
THIS SHOW WAS DRAGGED OUT TO THE POINT THAT IT MADE NO SENSE AND I AM SURPRISED THAT THE RATINGS WEREN'T LOWER THAN 6.5
Thanu and Wayu's 'lovestory' was far too dragged out and boring, and the worst part was that they had worse chemistry than a damn leaf on a tree, it was non existent and it was unbelievably boring.
I think this show would've been better if Star Hunter didn't let fans vote who Thanu will end up with because the weird seeing into the future thing Phai and Thanu had going on was 10 times better than this garbage plot for Thanu
AS PER USUAL, THIS IS MY OPINION SO NO NO BAD COMMENTS UNDER THIS POST

6/10
I can't wait to see bison's reaction at the betrayal tho. He'll be heartbroken.
And it seems Fadel was betrayed before. Maybe that's why he's so guarded. And Style is so shameless imao
