I think the ending makes sense. Resentment and regret shouldnt be there in a relationship. It makes any relationship unhealthy. FL took the right decision to break up when he said such things....esp when he said he regrets meeting her and everytime he would fail or be sad he is gonna put the blame of her...just like how her father did. Probably he will get out of it? Probably he won't...but we cant live with such probabilities.
