my biggest ick with this show is how the characters seem to meet eachother by coincidence every single time , its just lazy writing . and dont get me started on the cheap shock value of some characters . how ML's ex just suddenly pops up like a ghost when she first appears , or how FL's ex just teleports right next to the ML and FL , which is also just for some shock value .
you should just stick to rom-coms man , anything more than a painfully obvious joke must go over your head
boiling down a whole movie in three words ( boring , slow and no plot) . that's no way to describe something you don't like , it could only be interpreted as boring and slow is if you dont know that drama genre exists . every drama genre movie is "boring and slow" , it doesn't need any thriller or action or comedy to be good . the characters are portrayed as close to reality as they can be . if you don't like the genre then just say so and not shit on the movie without any basis
I think the last scene really sums up everything .heres my interpretation of it . Hae Sing comes to NYC to see Nora and there's a glimmer of hope in him , he breaks up with his girlfriend because he's still unsure of his feeling for Nora . but , after seeing her and meeting her husband , his mind changes , as they discuss all the possibilities while sitting at the bar . meanwhile Nora is bounded because of her marriage , it's said twice that she got married so early because she wanted her green card . she cannot just leave her husband like Hae Sung left his girlfriend . when Nora and Hae Sung are waiting for the Uber , they both look at each other and smile like they usually do but then there's a really long pause . it seems like Nora is a bit unsure about her feelings for Hae Sung but then Hae Sung puts his arm up to call the Uber and she snaps out of it . when Hae Sung leaves , Nora starts thinking about how her life couldve been if she hadn't distanced herself from Hae Sung to chase her dreams . but somewhere along the way she forgot about her dreams (she stops having awards she wants to chase) . As Arthur says they are just living in a tiny apartment and that at the Author's Residence it could've been anyone that could've met Nora , it just happened to be Arthur but her relationship with Hae Sung would not have changed . but Nora made that decision by herself so she cries regretting it .
sorry but is this you first time watching a Korean romantic comedy?
the ml is a mafia boss ,he used to be a criminal yet he doesn't show a hint of toughness . for the most part it seems like hes lost and doesn't even know he is the CEO . blushing when he sees the FML and acting all shy is all good but when it happens for the thousandth time , it gets boring . FML's whole personality is that she wants to make kids smile? because she was abandoned as a child , alr but what else is there to her character? nothing . just a really bland character , same case with the ml .

30-40 may not be many but it isn't less either . I never skip through any kdrama I watch but this one makes me wanna skip through every scene . maybe it's just because of Romance kdrama fatigue , same blueprint for most of the stories
after watching 4 episodes of this , i dont think this deserves an 8.4 rating . the only reason why people would this kdrama such a high rating is because every other kdrama airing right now is worse than this . there is no storyline in this kdrama , you can see what will happen from a mile away . ML's reactions to things are good though . both of the leads are portrayed to be in their mid 30s but they act like they are teenagers .
so no one else except Da Hae can see Gwi Ju when he time travels right .so when he gives her flowers at the park , everyone else just saw a bouquet flying around in the air going towards a woman T-T
since many people are still a bit confused about how Gwi Ju time travels , ill try to explain in it simple words . Gwi Ju's power allows him to travel to a past memory and thats it . he cannot change anything in it , its like watching a video , you cant interact with the video . then comes Do Da Hae , when Gwi Ju uses his power and goes back to a past memory with Do Da Hae , she can see and interact with him . what this results in is that if he interacts with Da Hae , he ends up changing the future . So from Da Hae's perspective , Gwi Ju tells her something that hasnt happened yet because this is the Gwi Ju that is from the " future " , because the events that occur after that memory have already happened to him . So , the gwi ju that is in the " memory " , alongside Da Hae knows that at some point in the future he will have to go back to this memory and complete the loop .
guys hear me out , i think what will happen is that the drama will alternate between two timelines , the future one and the present one (which is affected by the future one) . and the future gwi ju (who already had a sad ending) will help Da Hae to save the present timeline . his mother's dream will come true but it will get changed by the future gwi ju
theory: i think Gwi Joo will save Da Hae when he is quite old or when hes about to die and gives her the ring indicating that its just the start of the journey for her . kinda like in tenet where robert pattinson knows the ML all his life cuz hes from the future but ML in the present doesnt even know about him
the subtle comedy is done so beautifully , there is no oblivious soundtrack to tell the viewers to get the comedy , just a little pause .things happen and you smile .
if they actually cast a fat person , how would they show their progress of getting slimmer? if youve seen the show you would know that there are many flashbacks of her when she was a model . and shes losing weight in the present , so how would casting an actual fat person help them in any way
predictions for the next episode: the family will find the panic room to be empty because Eun Seong probably found it first , since he had people over to find to panic room and he looks at the elevator at the end . Seul Hee probably knows that her son found it because she seems too calm when she meets the family . grandpa probably left another way for them to get the shares back through hae in's pen.
you can see how much Soo Cheol has grown as a person since coming to Hyun Woo's village . he spoke up against his mother and is looking more confident than ever in making decisions
the characters are portrayed as close to reality as they can be . if you don't like the genre then just say so and not shit on the movie without any basis
