Not that your perspective is wrong, but looking from his perspective I think he was broken with all the abuse from his family and bullying, he had low self esteem and he believed no one put him as their first priority.
People like him read too deep in every situation.
So from that perspective i did felt bad for him but nonetheless what he did was not okay

Yes, its kind of intense with alot of bullying, So I'd say if you can watch it .please do it'll be worth it. But if its a trigger for you , you should skip on it.
