uuugh I adore Bai Lu and this is my first drama to Luo Yunxi and he's AMAZING but i had to stop watching by episode 9. i'm so sick of these predictable plots that show the FL as stupid and stubborn like she went alone to the entertainment company and met the girl trainee who was a victim of the CEO. before that she refused to tell the ML about her findings bcz she didn't have evidence but now she got a voice audio and she recorded the CEO trying to bribe her. instead of sending the evidence to either her boss or to save the evidence in a safe file outside her phone. she decides to go walking VERY SLOWLY in a dark ally as if luring the enemy out and BAM she loses the evidence. LIKE WTF IS THIS!!!!! also how is it not suspicious that Mr. Duo whi pretends he is her friend keeps showing wherever she goes and pretends it was a coincidence. instead of believeing the ML that he is scheming she prefers to be stupid and just falls for his plans. i can't watch dramas where the FL is not cunning and observant and keeps falling for stupid schemes. a big no to me

I'm starting this today. The only Wuxia/ Xianxia drama i could ever watch was LBFD the rest i just dropped no matter hiw much i loved the actors. This genre is just not my cup of tea. But I'm obsessed with both Xu Kai and Bai Lu and i can't get over Arsenal Military Academy. Although i strongly believe Xu Kai's choice of dramas is seldom right. He has great potential as an actor plus to his gorgeous looks but i think he needs to choose his dramas more wisely. I recently watched Wonderland of Love and man I LOVED his role in there. He is great in action and thriller genres, hope hendoes more of badass roles

Don't mind these people. I think you're absolutely right. However i disagree woth you on some parts. Shaoshang did actually love Ling Buyi, she loved all along from the very beginning. It was his status that kept her walls up against him because he reminded her of how controlling her parents were. She knew Ling Buyi was powerful and she thought he would be controlling her life and she didn't want anyone to control her anymore due to what happened to her in he family. Ling Buyi however proved that he never wanted to control her, although he was powerful he just eanted to protect her and let her do whatever she wanted. He genuinely loved her for what she was. Shaoshang was very young ( 15 yo) she was hurt and immature and she couldn't handle a relationship as an adult simply because she wasn't an adult. People telling you to rewatch are the ones who need to rewatch bcz her breaking up with him for 5 years and punishing him for wanting to take responsibility for his actions and sparing her and her family's life from the punishment of his crime was the most ridiculous reason for a breakup and she DID regret her chouces when they met again 5 years later. I need to remind people of how selfish and immature Shaoshang was when she involved herself in the royal mess and struggles and left all the mess she made to Ling Buyi to clear after her. One very interesting example is the tiger Royal Seal that she faked which would have caused her to lose her head. And because he knew her very well he knew she would do that and saved her at last by using his own tiger seal. Ling Buyi was scheming and cunning but never had selfish intentions towards the crown prince. He genuinely wanted to save the court and save the crown prince from the schemes of other court members bcz the crown prince was not worthy to be an empreror. Shaoshang mever wanted to understand that and no matter how much he asked to to stay away from the power struggle she insisted on involving herself and she ended doing a lot of bad things. The last straw was her insisting on breaking up with him ncz he aimply didn't want to sacrifice her or her family for his sake. People never understand Ling Buyi's pain but keep bitching about Shaoshang's childhood trauma. Yes, her mother sucked real bad, her family was bad but didn't ling Buyi protect her from them? Didn't he shield her from her mother's abusive behaviour? But what is Shaoshang's pain compared to his? The boy witnessed a massacre of 3000 people including his own family. He watched his family's heads hanging on the city's gate. He spent 16 years pretending he was his cousin and treating his family's murderer as his father. He spent 16 years dealing with his aunt's madness and pain until he lost her in the end. What right did shaoshang have to blame Ling Buyi for wanting revenge? I mean i know she wanted to help him and she could've helped him actually but you can't really blame him for losing his mind in the end after all evidence was gone. He thought the only way to revenge then was to directly kill Ling yi and to die with him as well. He threw himself off the cliff because that officier Zu was trying to kill them both. Why are we blaming him for not wanting his lover dead? People never really understood the drama and its deep, dark details thinking shaoshang was the victim while Ling buyi was a villain. In favt they were both victims of their own circumstances and they didn't know how communicate and appreciate each other until they experienced being away from each other for years.

I need to pause watching until it finishes than i can watch all eps once and for all. I'm telling y'all my nerves can't take the amount of anxiety that I've been getting since ep 20, I'm so scared of what's coming after i saw the trailers i need to watch the whole thing at once no more suspense. I officially give up 😭

I have this question that has been eating up my brain. Who is exactly princess Wanning ? Like what is her position in the court, who is she to the emperor and why is she so powerful that even the emperor doesn't dare to mess with her even tho they all know how evil she is.
She's so psychotic i feel so disturbed whenever she appears!

I'm really enjoying this drama. I'm obsessed with the way they look at each other, and especially the way he looks at her, and the way she kept looking while he was taking off his clothes. Oh dear!!
The annoying thing about this drama is that almost everyone is schemy and wicked, especially the annoying ladies of the capital. I would have preferred they focused more on the main story which is the gold mining case and the xue family case. Also i hope they shed more light on the MC's collaboration to investigate bcz they are fore together.

Before watching this one, i was very reluctant after reading the reviews and comments about it. Even tho i LOVE Xu Kai and Yang Zi. I decided to give itna try and let me tell you; this is one of the best c dramas i have seen this year. The acting, the vibe, the story, the atmosphere is just 10000/10. This drama is not heavy on romance, it's rather a family oriented drama. The FL and ML characters are the best, both are reasonable, realistic characters and their scenes are just amazing. The mother's character is well written, although she was annoying somrtimes, but i think it's very realistic. Her background story and character development at the end are very heartwarming. I really enjoyed this drama and i rarely find dramas that make me give up my sleep to watch them ( Xu Kai's dramas always do this to me ). My criticism of this drama is that itnwas too long for the storyline, it could have been shorter also, i wanted to see morenofnthe main couple and how their relationship develops. Last thing i have to say is that Xu Kai is just gorgeous, his beautiful features combined with his phenomenal acting make anything look good. I rated this drama woth 5 stars. And i will never listen to others opinions before i try it myself lol

Just finished this masterpiece. Idk how I've been sleeping on it since 2019. But i just spent the best sleepless 24 hours of my life bcz i just couldn't stop watching. Gu Yanzhen is a man to kill for. Everything is amazing about it. I'll give it a 1000/10 ❤❤❤❤

yup, i've finished it and he was FIRE.. amazing character tho the plot had some flaws but it was still so good and the ML makes it so much better

i've been seeing people obsessing over this ML so only giving this drama a shot for him.. i don't know what to expect but i hope i won't be disappointed

OK WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE ENDING!!!!! this drama had potential, and all of the good vibe to be an amazing drama.the FL is gorgeous and Yiran is amazing. tho i hated the FL's personality sometimes. she refuses to tell him anything especially in the end when she had already agreed to transfer into another city; she still didn't talk to him about it till the very end. i'm disappointed with the ending tho i enjoyed the drama at some point.
