Honestly, even if he survived, his mental state would never be the same. He wouldn't be the Qingyi who endured so much pain and still chose kindness. Leaving his ending open like that was actually the best choice for his character arc

yeah, but i think the drama ending is perfect actually, bc if it's HE it would have been too unrealistic(for his story), if it's SE(we see he died) it would be way more tragic story, the drama ending left fans making Thier own imagination (i saw several posts in rednote like that)
