It seems Mark said thay have 3Qs left. So in total it should have 24Qs...
Actually, they have a different production team, The team behind "My Stand-in" . Now I am not sure how many Qs did My stand-in had, but that can be a reason for relatively less number of Qs compared to any other GMMTV show. I don't think that it will affect the number or duration of EP, because they are gonna release the UNCUT version on iQIYI, So they should have filmed enough for that.
"It also sheds light on people who see same-sex relationships as mere fiction, like Teerakās dad. He was shown…
I know that in Thailand, most people have the progressive thinking youāre talking about. However, Iām speaking as someone from a different region where people are still narrow-minded, and same-sex relationships are not widely accepted. Itās not easy to come out to parents. As I said, itās a whole process that takes time, understanding from both sides, and gradual acceptance.
I donāt agree with the idea that āthis portrayal may actually put LGBT kids in abusive situations and cause harm.ā The series is simply depicting a part of reality that many people around the world face when they come out to their parents. I appreciate the realistic portrayal in the series, and I also hope that one day, everyone around the world will have the progressive mindset youāre describing and will be able to accept it as easily.
For me, the āall families are acceptingā trope feels too unrealistic and idealistic. Itās far away from the reality faced by many people in different parts of the world.
"It also sheds light on people who see same-sex relationships as mere fiction, like Teerakās dad. He was shown…
Everything youāre saying is about the progressive thinking that is needed in society regarding same-sex relationships, whereas Iām talking about the reality. I know that parents should accept their child for who they are. Sometimes, though, what they doāthinking itās for their childās happinessācan end up hurting them. However, Iām focusing on the fact that not everyone in society is that open-minded yet.
As I said, coming out is a process that takes time, understanding from both sides, and gradual acceptance. Most BL/GL dramas, however, tend to skip that part. Once the characters come out, the parents often immediately say things like, āI love you for who you areā or āYouāre still my child.ā But itās not always that simple. I know that many parents today have progressive mindsets and can accept it easily. However, there are still many for whom itās a big deal, and it takes a lot of time and effort. For example, if I decided to come out to my parents, I already know it would be a heated situation, and it would take them a long time to come to terms with it.
Also, I understand that Teerakās parents are in the wrong here. They said they were ādisappointed,ā and his father struggled to accept it at first. But thatās the reality many people around the world face when they come out. This is why I appreciate the realistic portrayal in this series. I hope you can understand what Iām trying to say. I also hope that one day, everyone around the world will be able to accept it as easily as youāre saying. But for now, the reality is still far from that ideal.
For your information, in the novel, thereās a reason why Teerakās dad canāt easily accept him dating a man. That reason is tied to his childhood friend. I donāt know if they decided to leave that part out of the series, but I hope they include it so that fans can understand his perspective better.
I absolutely loved this episode, probably my favorite one so far. I really appreciated how they stayed true to…
Also, who is playing the role of Teerakās mom? She absolutely deserves an award for her acting! That was one of the best coming-out scenes I have ever watched. I truly wish we could see more scenes like this in other BL/GL dramas.
I absolutely loved this episode, probably my favorite one so far. I really appreciated how they stayed true to reality. Coming out to parents isnāt as easy as itās often portrayed in dramas. It takes time, gradual understanding, and, ultimately, acceptance. Itās a whole process, and itās not always as simple as hearing, "I love you for who you are." It also sheds light on people who see same-sex relationships as mere fiction, like Teerakās dad. He was shown watching BL dramas, yet he only perceived them as part of a fictional genre. This is why he struggled to accept his own son dating a man. The scene where Teerakās grandpa and mom explained things to his dad was absolutely AMAZING! OMG, I have no words š„ŗ And those ending scenes where his dad finally accepted him, followed by that heartfelt family hugāit literally made me cry! š I know todayās episode was very emotional, and some of you might even call it an āEpisode 11 curse,ā but the way they addressed all the issues was absolutely perfect. For me, this episode is my favorite ā¤ļø This drama has won my heart in every possible way š
Tbh JJ deserves a Main lead! I know Pepper has left the company, So there is nothing much to hope for. So now I am manifesting for KayJJ, Both of them really deserve the Main role. š¤ā¤ Or Maybe Main leads for Het shows, if they aren't willing to do a BL
I don't think that there is a hurry for "Love of Silom", I heard that it will air in early 2026. So there is still a lot of time. Though I heard that the first project from YYDS for 2025 will be "Boys Lost in Thailand", a TV show, That is also gonna be directed by Pepzi, So maybe that will be the next project for Pepzi.
Muenfah and Teerak's story concluded for me last week. They are in love and continue to be supportive and sweet…
Sorry but I don't agree with you on Punlee & Glaijai, Actually there storyline was initially not a part of this series, I know they have their separate novel but I don't think that the makers had the plan to give us their storyline as a side couple in this series. It was just when the DMD friendship, it takes two happened, And Por-TeeTee were the winning pair, At that time the filming for Your Sky was still ongoing. And the makers thought to add some scenes from the Punlee-Glaijai novel too, And if I am correct, Their scenes shown in this series are like from the last part of the novel, So ofc it is not a fully developed storyline, but just a few scenes added randomly hinting towards the novel, in a hope that they can make a new series out of it. Talking about TeeTee's (Glaijai) acting, I think it is in accordance with the novel, Yeah there is always a scope of improvement, So I hope he will do even more better in future. Also since we don't have their fully developed storyline. We can't really judge them, bcz even the scenes shown in the series has a backstory.
Can't wait! Who knows, maybe it will replace ThamePo. Mark and Pepzi deserve the Friday slot.
It will most probably replace Thame-Po. Ohm said in the yesterday's insta live that STGD will definitely be released in March, and the only BL series ending in March is Thame-Po. So according to that, STGD should air around 21st March š„°
