ALSO, I have read the novel so you can't stop me from comparing the first few eps to one in the novel. So to answer your question, YES I HAVE WATCHED until Ep 4 and I didn't think I will continue. Will probably check it out after it finished airing (afterall, I like Yu Shuxin and He Yu)

I don't need a 1080p to know how bad the phasing was. Also "Editing" doesn't always mean "finest coloring" and "cinematography". Editing can also mean the technical aspects of the drama such as phasing and the way they cut and trim the first ten minutes of Ep 1.
Don't get me wrong, I am anticipating this drama and even though they go with the Wong Kar-wai esthetic, it will still be overlooked if they chopped the phasing like that.
Why is the first ten minutes of Ep 1 sooooo bad? Like I cannot immerse myself to the serious tone the drama is supposed to be showing because of how bad the editing and phasing was.
Right of the bat, we have the twenty seconds change of attire from Mumu lol, then there's the underground fight that is not very well executed to the scene in the airport lol

Just a personal preference but Ding Yuxi's wig in this drama doesn't suit him. It's the same as TROTAR. I really really like his hair styling in Love Game or in the LYST so I hope he can style himself again like that.
I just love how the first two episodes really shows us how an ENEMIES TURNED TO LOVERS is done right. You can feel their enmity and hatred with each other. And not just only by the words, they let us see it through actions. I am so tired of the ETL trope when we don't really see them clashing *ehem Are You the One *ehem. They are not shy in showing how Fen Shuige can be brutal even to Fu Yixiao, vice versa.
ALSOOOOO I SO LOVE Chen Zheyuan's visual in this drama! Everything is so on point, the wig, the make up even his robes. Li Qin is also so feel regal in that red robes.

It's just sad that the Douban rating for Perfect Match is below 6 (with 18k raters). I don't know but I read somewhere that LYX and WXY fans are boycotting the drama because the CP had lesser screen time after Ep 11 considering they top billed this drama.
