Tree was in the book but was more of a cameo. He just mostly switched shifts with Khliao when he wanted to check out the singer he had a crush on or when Khliao wanted to be on the same shift as Karan. He and Meow did eventually get together but they were more like cameos.

The thing is that we can always talk about what's the right thing because we're not in the situation. I don't support anything she does but it's hard not to see why she's so blind. Her mom was crazy but at the end of the day, her mother was all she knew. When she gets the help she needs or even an awakening, she'll be able to see everything for what it is. I'm still all for them kidnapping her.
