I like Chinese dramas, my one problem is that they're too long (specifically historical dramas). I always want to sit and watch them, but I just don't have the time or commitment for them and I feel like that's my fault because I know not all of them are like that. I hope one day I can find time to sit and fully immerse myself in one. Another thing I love about C-dramas are their opening theme songs.

I will give China this, they do their historical dramas like nobody else. So much detail is put into them.

I would love to get into more Thai dramas, but the ones I tend to gravitate to are BL dramas. But I'd love to give other Thai lakorns a shot. I feel like Thai dramas and Taiwanese dramas are sadly underrated and overshadowed by their other neighbors.

As far as tips for newbies: think of what you're into. Do you like sci-fi, mystery, horror, romance, comedy? Chances are you'll find a k-drama to suit your interests. Or if you want to dip your toes in, start with a web drama. they're known for being short and can be a great starting point.

K-dramas are my ride-or-die dramas. Meaning, they're the ones I'll turn to when I'm feeling bad. As a history nerd, I love historical dramas because I just love seeing the palaces and the beautiful hanboks. K-dramas are also a small part of why I'm learning Korean (my biggest reason is because I just genuinely love the language). Plus for some reason, out of other Asian dramas, they're the easiest for me to understand.

I've been wanting to get into more TW dramas. They're kind of my escape in the event I find myself overwhelmed by a Chinese drama.

I tend to watch J-dramas if I need something quick to watch. But I admit that it's hard switching languages, since I watch so many K-dramas, It takes a while to adjust to the sounds and the different honorifics.
