Obviously as an internet stranger, I can't tell you what your identity is, but this is very similar to my experience as a queer non-binary person! I'm transgender, neither a man or a woman, but I do feel envious of people who are so gorgeous and comfortable in their own skin (the word for that is gender envy) and that feeling is sometimes a bit confusing because before I realized I was non-binary, envying someone's gender was a bit similar to the feeling of being attracted to someone. It's all super confusing but ever since I figured out myself, I got happier and feel like I'm living more truthfully. So don't rush, just look stuff up and even if you aren't like that, it's fine. You at least figured out what you aren't, and that also matters. Have a nice week!
I feel like an idiot took 6 episodes of going I swear I Know Enaga/Ai from somewhere......... Spanner!!
You're not alone! I talked about this drama with my friend because of Spanner. I showed her the poster multiple times to even talk about how he looks so different from his profile to Spanner's profile to this AE... only to start watching the episode and realize that the guy from the last side of the poster... is also him. I almost hurt my belly from laughing too hard. He really looks so different. I can't really truly blame Chiaki tbh.
This story is a tease and not in a good way. I don't know how the story keeps going downhill to that point. Truly the weakest ending I've ever seen in a drama and that's telling something. Yanase's actor is great, and the supporting characters were also good. But Kaneda's actor is a bit lacking.
I also just realized both of them are Kamen Riders. I can say with 100% certainity that there'll be more homoerotic tension in their respective series with their co-actors than they do in this actual BL series, just because the writing is so bad.
Came for Hideyoshi Kan, stayed for Hideyoshi Kan. Also, Soga is a timid divorcee who just moved to another city for work so like yeah, it makes sense that he acts like that. I get it and I want to see what's coming next.
Edit: Just watched Episode 4 and now I'm even more excited!
Absolutely phenomenal representation. She's transgender and a lesbian. She's even flawed. Also, I really admire how real the characters feel. Great script and great acting.
I get the negative reviews. I don't like Jeok Bong's character or the way they dragged out the plot. But the way half of these reviews include "Why didn't So Mun and Hana end up together wahhh" is really telling.
I hate it when people say not to talk negative it is open discussion we are allowed to have our opinion and what…
You said people are allowed to have their own opinion and then literally right after that, "And the people who say that say season 2 is good they don't really understand what they are watching". Don't be condescending AND hypocritical at the same time. People who liked this can have their own opinions too.
My Bratty Princess came out when I was 5 and Sell Your Haunted House came out when I was 21. I went from a child to a fully fledged adult but Jang Na Ra still looks the same as she did when I was 5. Unbelievable.
This drama started it all for me. I was so obsessed with this series and it led me to realizing I love both men and women and then realize I am non binary and would like to wear all the clothes Jang Nara was wearing.
I had hopes for this, but... the ratings are kinda misleading.Throw in a kid and I'm sold, but this drama was…
I think you were just misled about the genre. This is an adaptaion of a food and found family centered slice-of-life manga. Repetitive and Boring is the point of slice of life.
I'm already in love with the series for being so unapologetically and very realistically queer and then I found out the director/screenwriter is a transgender man. No wonder this series is so beautiful. I know the manga is just as good but the adaptations sometime fail to capture the heart of a manga but this? This is full of love. My heart is melitng.
People can have their own opinions and mine is that it is still pretty good! Of course, some parts will feel like they're filler; it's an hour long episodes. It's hard to leave things on a cliffhanger every episode without putting somethings during the hour. But personally, I don't think any of those are filler. We're getting to see the family's bond during scenes that "leads to nothing" and aren't we here for that? I'm here for the found family aspect. Also people are mad that "territory doesn't reach that far up" but the korean word for it is 땅 which means "Ground" like no shit the ground doesn't reach that far. Anyway, I'm waiting for episode 9 with tears in my eyes.
I also just realized both of them are Kamen Riders. I can say with 100% certainity that there'll be more homoerotic tension in their respective series with their co-actors than they do in this actual BL series, just because the writing is so bad.
