On I Hear the Sunspot Jul 11, 2024
It’s only episode 3, so it might be too early to say, but to me, this is already one of the best BLs I’ve watched. This episode was just SO GOOD that I didn’t even realize time was passing. Before I knew it, I was tearing up — that’s how you know a story is REALLY good!!

I know that slice of life stories are not for everyone and some people find them boring, but I just love them sooooo much, I really wish there were more shows like this.

A simple scene where they’re just eating cup noodles together is enough to make me wanna scream, they’re sooo cute together.

What appears to be good acting, I think is just a will for detailed performances by the director. Yuki's character…
Gays bars and gay clubs were literally the first places where I felt that I could just be myself without any fear. They were also the first places where I felt a sense of belonging and community.

I'm loving the slice of life vibes that this BL is giving. I'm such a sucker for all those simple and cute domestic moments.

I think it’s because Ji Ho Geun and Lim Ji Sub look exactly like each other. Someone cast these two in a twin…
At first I was like "Do they really look like each other or am I being crazy?" but then I went to Ji Ho Geun page here on MDL and there were other people talking about how similar they both look lol it's funny because that was enough to make me rewatch T8S
On The Eighth Sense Apr 7, 2024
Just rewatched this one because I was really missing these characters (and something about Jazz for Two reminded me of T8S). It’s hard to put into words how much I love this show and what it means to me. I plan to revisit this story many more times in the future.

Another completely pointless thing was that infamous bar scene in episode 7. What was the point of including such a violent scene if the characters will just get together in the very NEXT scene??? We barely have time to process what happened and there's no time for the characters to have their redemption.

YES like what was the purpose of breaking up and then getting back together in the NEXT scene???? I don't think Taeyi needed the break up to realize how important and special Seheom was to him at this point of the story.

I absolutely HATE this "let's break up out of nowhere and without having a proper conversation" trope. They usually do this to create artificial drama in the final episodes, but it's such a lazy writing. My favorite BLs are those that the main couple don't break up in the final episodes, there are more interesting and intelligent ways to create drama and conflict.

Person Ji Ho Geun
Lol some sides of him reminds me off JiSub of Eight Sense
OMG I THOUGHT THE SAME THING glad I’m not the only one seeing their similarities

damn i was excited to watch this but the comments are not it lol
it’s not a perfect BL, it has its flaws, BUT I really enjoyed this one. They clearly didn’t have enough time to develop everything that they wanted to do with the limited runtime. They also used some outdated tropes that I particularly don’t like, but nothing too bad.

About your first point: I do think they could’ve done it better. We’ve seen tiny bits of Fong Kaew, James…
omg I did watch the uncut version but I completely forgot about that conversation, thanks for reminding me. I honestly only remembered that Fong Kaew asked for Jom’s help to release Mei and I remembered Khun Yai talking to James about Robert in the bar and the whole Fong Kaew investigation, so at first I didn’t find weird the whole revelation thing, but I started to question if it wasn’t that clear after op comment, so to me the only thing missing was a conversation between Fong Kaew and Jom, which already happened and I only forgot about it 💀

About your first point: I do think they could’ve done it better. We’ve seen tiny bits of Fong Kaew, James and Yai’s sister investigating Robert throughout the series, but the whole revelation scene kinda came out of nowhere. This could’ve been solved with a scene where Fong Kaew talks to Jom. Maybe they edited some scene out?

I haven’t read the novel, but I do know that Jom really travels through time. In the novel he travels even further back in time and meets another version of Yai. Jom’s drawings that he made in the past and finds in the future are the “proof” that all of this already happened. In the first episode Jom’s boss says that Jom is only working in the renovation of Yai’s house because the family specifically asked for him, which means tha Yai’s descendants know something about Jom coming from the future. I think it’s possible that the owner of the house in the future is the future version of Yai (there are themes of being reborn in this series). So basically Jom going back in time and going to that place was fated to happen because they are soul mates or something like that.
