i dislike childhood connections too but at least this didn’t piss me off as much as her private life
Tbf, Her Private Life and similar titles used it completely unnecessarily while shows like Just Between Lovers use it as an undisguised plot that is the driver for the show and character development and not half-baked filler. I think Come and Hug Me is a good example.
Just going to tack on another comment recommending this drama. I had a lot of fun with it. If you're a new gen watcher or don't like the feel of those older dramas, it might not be for you, but if you do like them, it's one of the best! Lots of fun and romance without stupid annoying drama for plot devices.
I have no recollection of watching this drama, but apparently I've seen 19/20 episodes. Someone must've taken over my life. I'm being serious, when did I watch this. I played the trailer and it doesn't ring any bells.
If you're on the fence, I would totally watch this just for the amazing fun between characters. When it got down to it, there were several characters (and character arcs) that I wasn't at all interested in and frankly got bored with, but every time Rain and Oh Yeon Seo or Lee Ha Nui and Oh Yeon Seo were on screen together, it was usually a frolicking good time!
I dropped this drama a long time ago not because I didn't like it, I just never got around to finishing it. Then when I decided to pick it up again I read all the comments and they put me off. Sounds like I should give it another shot though!
I really liked the first half of this but then in the second have so many unnecessary things added to fill up…
Oh great, I was finally getting around to watching this since I lvoe QIHM but if they break up unnecessarily as most dramas tend to love to do, I might just hold off

Well I agree with the first two... but dropping?!?!! I've been in a constant drama watching phase for 3 years straight now (since I found them), and while I've had slumps I've never stopped... Mostly because I find dramas I like from all countries and I've got a mile long list of dramas I plan to watch or am "currently watching" (put on hold). I've also found it helpful to search out older shows. Sometimes I'll be always airing the latest drama, and others binge watching shows from when I was but a wee child. But every now and then I take a break to watch a Western movie or TV show :)
