That's why I like Japanese dramas, they are weird and unpredictible, they don't always follow certain formula the way Korean dramas unfortunately often do.
I come back to this drama from time to time, it's really gripping. I love the way Kamiki portrayed Shinichi Numata, his complex dynamics with the teacher made it interesting to watch.
People were free to add any dramas they wanted and I removed what I thought I should remove. I might have missed…
Yes, I understand. I just don't get people who are adding dramas with romance to non-romance dramas list. It's like I was adding thrillers to non-thriller dramas list lol.
I heard that On the verge of insanity and Little women have romance, isn't that the truth? Also, At a distance, spring is green literally has a romance tag. Someone messed up this list.
Some people probably only watch dramas because thats all the romance they ever get. Others normally watch them…
That's your opinion. I almost never like romance in any kind of fiction. I find it boring and/or cringy (there is a few exceptions). Obviously no romance doesn't automatically mean good plot and great storytelling etc but I really like that there are works which don't include it and I wish there was more. Romance sells (just look at 50 shades grey, 365 days or a huuuge number of romance centered dramas ), the person above explained exactly why it sells most of the time, so I'm glad that there are creators who don't want to use this selling device while creating something.
Because it's not just another detective mystery drama, it is quite like a slice-of-life with great characters…
Yep, I love different detective/mystery series but jdramas are very special to me, I just like the vibe, style and complex relationships between characters. And I like how they often have psychological aspects too.
To be honest, in my opinion it does not deserve such a high rating on this website but it was not bad. It's one of very few dramas where I prefered ending episodes over the beginning ones. Usually the first half is better, especially when it comes to Korean series.
I think the characters were much too soft towards the dead girl's parents, especially towards mother, I don't even get the reasoning the parents had- they will kill a bunch of Innocent people on the same bridge and what? What would they achieve by that? People on the internet would hate on them and on the dead girl even more. I doubt anybody would empathise with them knowing they were so determined to murder random people (and they actually did it many times in the loop). I mean I understand why they were hurting badly but what would killing people who did not have anything to do with their daughter's death change? Yeah... sorry but no empathy from me to them.
But whatever I really liked this drama, especially the first, I think, 11 or 12 episodes because there was a lot of suspense when the situation was still not fully known.

Also, I love Sui's personality, the actor did a really good job with this character. He was very sweet but not overbearingly so.
