I think as well! For me, the ending is the epitome of Japanese dramas of early 2000s and fits with the overall tone. It's hilarious, tragic and heartwarming.

The moment when Nagumo eats takoyaki in front of the others? This show is so good. They act as if nothing is happening, not pressuring her. Then Miss Yako sees through Nagumo and gently asks her to go for a walk. She knows Nagumo's feelings about Nomoto and Kasuga moving out.

I would recommend not to read the comments below, without detracting from them. If you're looking for the most authentic Japanese drama, you have to understand their essence. 'Ore no Ie no Hanashi' is a Japanese drama from the early 2000s in its own way.

This series makes me feel relaxed and cozy, fitting perfectly with a cup of chamomile tea before sleep.

Buaaah... Usually, when I finish a story, I move on to the next, but with this one, I need a break. Grace no Rireki and Brush Up Life should set the standard for other Japanese series.
