I totally agree, I can't imagine anyone who is hesitant, and at least gives it a chance, will regret it at all. I honestly wasn't even going to bother watching this, because it was turned into just a bromance, but constantly seeing pics of the cast posted online, I had to give in. Aside from the fact that the show is really well done, the story is interesting, with great characters, costumes, and music, and the cast is FANTASTIC, it definitely has managed to satisfy the BL part of it for me. It's extremely obvious, and very romantic. This is also now one of my favorite dramas of all time. And, it's so re-watchable. I know, because I keep re-watching previous episodes. I'm almost at the end, but I'm truly savoring it to the fullest.

The cast is awesome, especially Yibo, and Xiao Zhan. They are really pulling off the characters they are playing amazingly well. I honestly constantly find myself fascinated just watching them. But yeah, really overall, the entire cast has done a great job. I'm impressed. And, I would totally buy the Blu Ray myself.

I'm still waiting to get to those "steamy" scenes. haha :'D It's still a great, interesting story. I was hoping to kind of keep up with the show, plot-wise, but the order was obviously written differently for the series, than it was in the novel, so it's impossible. At least, for now where I'm at.

I agree, it's amazing. I've really been taking my time with it, cause I'm enjoying it so much (mainly the male leads, and the characters they play). After 23 episodes, I started reading the novel, and then started the series all over again. I'm now on episode 27. Honestly, I would recommend to anyone who is interested in fully understanding the story from the beginning, to at least just read the first few chapters. It helps A LOT, and they're very short.

I totally understand what you are saying. I myself was very reluctant to start this one, for all those reasons you mention, but, I will tell you, that you are cheating yourself by not giving it a chance. Also, watching this series, is really mainly supporting the people involved with this show. All the cast and crew, they clearly put so much into this, it really shows. I'm currently reading the novel, and they all did a FANTASTIC job. China (anyone responsible for homophobic bans in series like this, or in anything in general), I can't imagine are affected at all. They don't care. If anything, I think people supporting a series like this (it looks like it's doing very well over there), only proves something. But, that is just my thought.
I am totally obsessed with this show, and seriously everything about it. A censored BL story, is always off putting to me, but with this one, it's just a really great series, regardless (I also, REALLY enjoyed Advance Bravely). And, if you are not picking up on the BL, despite it being censored, then I really don't know what to tell you. :'D It's so obvious. I love it. ❤️

I just did that myself!! :O Halfway through episode 23, I decided to start reading the novel, which made me want to re-start the series all over!! Based on where I am in the novel, I'm right about to re-start episode 6, and I'm so happy I did it this way. I'm loving it sooo much more the 2nd time around (which I didn't think was possible).

Right. It is seriously so goddamn cute. I got the impression, from BTS interactions, that Xiao Zhan must be older. Not having been familiar with him before this, I had to look it up, but I was right. :D He's amazing as Wei WuXian. ❤️
This show has blown me away. I was already impressed, due to already being used to Chinese dramas, and their dubbing, horrible CGI, etc.. This one, has just pulled all that off pretty well, for the most part. In fact, I just finished episode 15, I was legit crying. I'm impressed.
This is getting a majority of a "1 star" rating on IMDB, and I think that's really unfair. I'm not saying this is a great movie. It for sure was ridiculous, silly, and had stupid humor, but that's what they were going for, and I think they pulled it off. I even laughed many times (but that probably had a lot to do with how insanely fricken cute Darren Wang was, when his character was being stupid).
But on top of all that, it is just a fun action movie, and I think the cast did a great job. I love Milla Jovovich, and expected her to have just a very minor, cameo like role, but surprisingly, she did not. Also, it was fun seeing Timmy in something new (and with long, wavy, blonde hair, haha). He could have been in it more, though.
