This movie was a good kind of weird, and I was wondering what was really going on the whole time. Even after the end, though. I don't exactly know what they were implying there. But I really enjoyed watching this.

You made perfect sense, and I totally agree with you. My initial post wasn't going against anything you had said. It was more me trying to let others know that despite that it is on my BL list, I do realize that it's not, and I'm not trying to trick anyone. Wish it actually had been, though. haha It was super cute.
And yeah, I expected Handsome Devil was going to be a BL, but it wasn't at all. It was still a cute movie. (-‿-)

I thought the story was a bit boring, which is probably why I was confused and wondering wtf was happening a couple times. I really didn't like the main female lead (reporter). Not sure if it was the character, or the actress herself, but I thought she was too cheesy. I also noticed a few really bad, distracting mistakes along the way.
But this movie actually ended up winning me over. The action scenes were pretty fucking awesome. And, the gore was actually really fucking awesome! I did not expect any of that at all.
I felt like I should have hated this, but I loved it. Nakajima Kento in this, he is such a horrible pos, but wow, he is sure sexy. haha Lots of eeeeee moments for me, which was fun. Also, Yudai and Nana are soo cute.

Firstly, I'm guilty of calling it a bl, or at least I have it on my bl list. Although, I do note on there that it is not actually a bl. I did not watch it expecting that in the 1st place, I was just watching it for one of the main actors, but I ended up feeling like there was something very implied there, and it made me happy.
Secondly, there are a few good Chinese ones out there!! I know it's rare, so I totally understand your caution. I've been left sad/confused/disappointed multiple times.

I would say that it is definitely worth watching. But I feel like that needs to come with a warning. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the manga (I was not myself before I watched it), but this story is very dark, violent, and gory. So, it's not for everyone!
