The comparison is not par with romanticism of the dramas but to show you that its just a drama, take chill pill n no too deep thinking. And everyone watching this drama knows that the writers will always use the already tested plots and twist it. And lastsly I pointed those 2 dramas out as you've only watched those dramas but you not see how they normalised use of violence, religious cult, suicide etc.
Again its a drama to enjoy n sometimes to appreciate the acting the actors bring.
Its not cute or romantic to get kidnapped but again its a drama, everything is always crazily spun to catch your /my attention

Girl I get your point but look honey, learn to receive the kdrama vibe, thinking about whether its legal or illegal won't change the essence of the drama.
Similarly, you should've asked that same question while watching Judge from Hell or Hellbound. Those are freaking insane yet kdrama. I mean many koreans are either victim to cults or unfair judgment. So just watch for the acting and the story. Real life is far more cruel and always so pink.
Ps. I Loved those dramas too.

I thought i wouldn't cry as we already knew what was coming but I was in tears when the ending scene came TT TT
Netflix really outdid themselves and brought us the master piece.
Ps. I thought I closed the top 10 kdrama 2024 list but I guess not, this drama definitely is in my top lists

The only reason I might continue watching would be if ML would confront his past and them apologising though its too late for that.

I think Jaehoon's witty, funny yet serious acting goes perfect only with Taxi driver coz 1. That drama has a main strong hateful villian for every story they get and plus the way they meet their end is aways unique or unexpected
So, that keeps the audiences connected but unfortunately, Chief detective, despite having such a good team, can't capture some audience's attention. And its not coz he ain't acting, the acting n action is top notch but since it is set at an ancient time, the villains aren't very strong or you could say, you already know who the villain would be. The first 2 week was a hit coz it did attract people's attention but after that soso. I just wish if the writers could do better plot.
Coz I'm back to watching this after I had left finishing the 4th ep
PS. I did compare with taxi driver as the plots are kinda similar and yes signal is also a crime/action but its a fantasy 😎

I did take the courage to finish the 1st episode but I'm not very hopeful about the cringey teacher role, she is playing. Like they could've given the typical damsel in distress/ revenge girl role but instead they made her role as a needy, lover girl

I really wanted to watch this drama for Myungsoo but OMO the FL is so freaking cringey and ugh her acting is soo annoying and irritating that I got cringe chills all over. Sorry couldn't watch past 1st ep

Exactly, like come on you( I meant the person you've replied to) really people would buy that the ML is a junior inspector, given that how lavish his life is and everything is on his social media. Skip all that all the cases so far, are so unrealistic, like you really think that 2 random jobless dudes would be serial killers targeting old people, and on top of that those old geezers are loaded wow lol.
Though, I'm really enjoying this series justice being served like this is fun, since its all fictional

Its a classic crime solving drama with solving different cases and one main mystery. Plus if you're a fan if Ahn Bohyun, you must watch this drama. He really played this characters well, charming and bratty. So far, I must say, its one of the weekly dramas that I wait to watch

I think the drama really got good in this week's episode, I loved all the comedy plus the storytelling, not too slow, not too fast, perfectly paced. My expectations are rising

Uhm can we not talk bot drinking and talk bout how off the charts is the main leads chemi<3. This is what happens when great actors are in one drama,: Magic

The story is clear as a day, we can already guess how the 2 main leads are linked together and they are following the classic rich bratty ML with an upright cop FL coming together and starts to discover his hidden truth but Come on!!! Like they are still bullying our guy and its already 5th ep. Like for 3 episodes bullying ok but there's a limit to everything, I just hope they won't drag it to the next eps. Ps. I like the cases that they show in each week and I would stick around if it doesn't get way way annoying

I got so curious that I watched the first 3 episodes raw, and let me ya all, Its really good and exciting, I decided to pause and wait for them to get subbed so I can enjoy to the max

You know its a high tier drama when every single actor acts out their specific life so beautifully. A drama truly to appreciate acing

People already know that the story is the typical fantasy rom-com plot where the FL goes and invites danger and ML SML will save her. But If you are a fan of Rowoon's acting and swooned by his extraordinary beauty, then you will enjoy this drama. 😊😊😍
