Veil of shadows is best has substance. Persuit of jade is nonsense. The butcher now becomes a general and killing battle hardened warriors easy peasy and saving the country trope ....like it was the easiest thing ever. The female unbelievable nosense general is the big go to chinese drama trope that happening on most dramas now with weak villains and even weaker male characters with no brains or independence except run after and he love her so much. The fl tian..whatever has delusions of grandeur so she only picks these type fl lead types and the grave one suffers from dimarut own queen issue...bad story also

I finally watched this. I hated the premise of taking adavantage and lying to someone to get to an end goal. And after watching still hated the ml and is basically an abusive rapist to do something like that even though never consumate. In real life you go to jail for doing things like that. The fl dont fall in love for abusive toxic guys well maybe they do...lol. the second ml ...the emperor was far better guy and the lady he makes his empress was far better than the fl who is just stupid to love a guy who lied and used her but go figure wonen love toxic men they dont see the better man.

I just started watching this and in ep 5 it gets sick. This director should all be arrested for putting on tv that its exceptable for kidnapping a child especially a new born and making the child sick to achieve an objective. Wonder why the chinese allowed this. But it shows a sickness in moral principles

I was really enjoying it till 14th episode. Then you corner someone and beat him up like you have right to. You moved stop telling other not to like etc ....stop being petty and suck because of what happened. She is no better than him. Chinease drama falling into same sick tropes

Did i not predict it. Take comments from Ti02 and JulesL .. actively promoting royal favoritism nepotism.. ladies died because of her. No consequences... radiates strenght confidence while looking gorgeous. More like arrogance privilege and no understanding of actions and consequences...crazy drama. I gave up 3 episodes is enough for me

Lol....i watch based on storyline not actresses. All the popular actresses vehicles are called out. She only chooses parts where she can be the best most domineering arrogant know it all but usually fails. If she acts in something different and brings a more down to earth realistic portrayal with cause and affect sequences....but alas thats never going to happen. You should stop ranting and analyse the story main actor etc..

The saddest part is people here will give it high rating due to bai liu and we love the fl and ml romance. Low on ethics storyline morals etc....

Shes responsible for the noble lasies death and poisoning but in true bai liu fashion. Take the poison and act like she was affected and come out quietly.. truely detestable character...
