Hahaha.. this is after all a 土甜剧 (cliché romance drama) .. you need to have those scenes for overloaded sweetness. It may not be the cup of tea for everyone but I for one, not ashamed to admit that I am a sucker for those. I can rewind and rewatch x100. 😅. That is being say, I believe the story is telling you that, when you love someone, you accept the person completely - her history and flaws and don't change yourself.

I am a HUGE fan of ZYC .. it started off long ago because I admire his fighting skills. To me he wasn't that handsome back then.. more like boyish / dorky look for my taste .. but boy oh boy~ he does mature very finely now~ *wink*

She doesn't really change her personalities in the drama, but you get to understand the reason behind her antics. I felt that this is a hit-or-miss type of drama. Either you fell in love with the character or you really dislike the FL.

I think it's a great strategy. Because of the cut scenes, the fans are busy scouring and discussing about it, and this make the drama in the hot search list.

I was watching reviews on YT and everyone has some new input to their love story. One mentioned that Shen Yan is already attracted to Liu Ling when he was young (he was practicing kungfu when Liu Ling disturb him) but was mad at her because she disappeared (went back to Jiangzhou) after that. When they met later one, she has forgotten about him and again she was 'harrassing' him. This time he will act indifference but inside he already fell for her.

You skipped 60% and still manage to "understand" the story. So basically you are not watching a drama, you are looking at your favourite actor / actress only.

This is the first time I heard of ratings per episode and I went in to check it out (and also to rate). I got finger cramps after 4th epi 🤣. That hater has gained my respect.. on a different level
