lol, I completely understand. although I prefer LBC over Tharntype I can not deny the MewGulf chemistry. also when they filmed LBC most of them were rookies playing in their first BL (including saint) So I also feel like the cast chemistry isn't really there yet. That's why I love Why R U. Zee and Saint have much better chemistry than PerthSaint not even gonna lie.

there is a difference between an LGBTQ+ (or gay) show and a BL.
BLs are made by women for women but lgbtq+ shows are made for the general lgbtq+ community, so don't go into a bl thinking you're going to get some legit gay representation. cause haven't you noticed that most of the characters are really manly. Well, that's cause they got to keep the characters attractive for the female audience.

so if you want some legit 'lgbtq+ representation' then go watch shit like Love Simon. Cause you're not gonna get any of that here. stop complaining.

I scrolled down the comment section, and I was disappointed. Like come-on guys let this woman write about what she wants to write about. I know some of yall are saying that she romanticizes rape and I know how much this offends many people. But like! if you think it through there is no way she can make everyone happy. And if you don't like what she produces then there is no need to watch or read it. Rape is not ok, but is writing about rape really a crime?

Also, some people were concerned and saying "what if someone who was raped read her books? wouldn't they be even more traumatized?!." So if you take a moment and re-read that sentence. you will then realize that someone who was raped wouldn't pick up a rape fantasy and read it. Someone who was raped wouldn't watch a series that included the romanticization of rape. +plus her books and series aren't even rape fantasies. Like, look at the bigger picture. LBC is about Pete and Aes' relationship, not about that one rape scene.

Lastly, if this sort of content makes you mad, just ignore it. Like nobody is flashing it at your face. And it never really killed anyone. + if your watching stuff like TharnType. You probably know what you're going into.

I was mad and laughing at the same time as I read what you had to say.
Like for starters, rape in books, comics, and shows is not uncommon. No one ever says it's fine. Also, I've followed up on a few MAME interviews and there was not one time she said "oh yeah, I think the rape scenes in my books are amazing." You can't just assume that she thinks it's fine. And shit like this happens in real life. They never straight out said it was romantic. The viewers or readers, who are seeing the content, choose to interpret it in any way they like. And when it comes to TharnType, I think they did a pretty good job at showing Types' trauma.

Writers like her, are just doing their job. You also have no right to quickly assume her thinking. Plus the LGBTQ+ community has its bad sides. It's not all about 'healthy relationships'. Also when it comes to being a 'role model.
I would just like to say.
She is not obligated to be one. Instead of taking your time to bash fictional characters. Go find something worthwhile to do.
