I'm now 4eps further on and the characters seem to have been assassinated and replaced with more boring counterparts and the friendship between them has all but disappeared! wtf so disappointing

I'm mostly confused after finishing this. I can say I never got bored, it was a riveting watch. However the nuances of the plot went right over my head. Why did he kill Cheong gyu? Why did Cheong gyu pull his fingernails off? What did the limping man and his kid have to do with our main character other than owing money to the gang? Very baffled, I definitely missed something vital

what's the differences between this and perfect marriage revenge? which one should I watch first?

I know there's lots we don't know so we can only really speculate, but this just feels so wrong. His life shouldn't have been lost like this
