The people saying the Elders are biased towards Ziyu are biased against Ziyu. Ziyu is the SW someone on his elder council died who he just saw the day before. What's he supposed to do be like "oh well, I'll figure it out in 3 months" when he hasn't touched that freezing cold water yet?! While yes, there's a task at hand, Ziyu is the leader first and foremost.
If XZ and TY don't get a happy ending after watching ep 11, I swear I'm going to treat this drama as a fever dream! The last 10 minutes was the entire episode for me, that's all I needed!
Really enjoying the chemistry and push-pull between the leads here. And itβs so rare to see a playboy type ML…
I said the same thing about Ma! He's prey on female insecurities. He builds them up with money and has them in the palm of his hand where he can come and go as he likes. I like that TY is kinda toying with him. She's feeling him out she already knows his game because of Xinzi and now that friends girlfriend and hopefully will never fall for it. Two different ML's who are well off it's nice to see
I was discussing this drama on Reddit but thought I'd leave it here too for those who don't get the FL...
>The FL, I don't know, I'm just not quite getting her. Not sure whether it is the actress herself or the way her role is written or, perhaps I don't understand her backstory well enough

I think it's a few things... TY isn't styled or written as the typical FL. She's a little Morticia Adams/Goth feel. The styling for me is a bit rough lol like enough with this dark lipstick already! It's doing her no favors. But when she wears lighter colors she's so open and bright to me. TY's personality also is very dark and closed off unless she's closer like the nice coworker girl with the bf or the needy cousin but she's opening up slowly and more boldly to Elvis. TY is
resistant to love because her crush broke her heart upon confessing π©. She's not very optimistic or open and she's playing this game but not playing the game at the same time. I like her. I like that she's not naive or falling for Elvis like a school girl that has a crush, she's calling him out on his game and keeping him on his toes, she's hesitant and resistant but still dipping you toe in slowly each episode. TY is an acquired taste, gotta keep watching with an open mind.
