Where did you hear that? Everyone on here as mentioned that the story is on track with the book with a few minor changes. I'm currently reading the book as well and thus far the drama and book are aligned except we haven't gotten the breakup backstory yet and minor changes that's made the story better such as ages of GX and Xiaonan.
