Um, ok 9 years? Of course it's still 10 years as his birthday hasn't arrived yet but I digress. I'm glad you & my toddler think that correcting the grown ups makes that much of a difference. In other news, age does not mean maturity. It may make you an adult in the governments eyes but I think there's quite a bit more that goes into it. A year ago he was 16. In the state of NY that means 17 is the first year that one can legally consent to sexual relations without the older participant going to jail & labeled a pedophile for life. But details details... There is a huge difference between ZeeNunew & the ML's in this show. I have no problem with 10 year age gaps, 20 years, 30 years...don't care. My issue is the maturity of the participants & sometimes a lot of maturity cannot be expected from a 17/18 year old. Not that there aren't 30 year olds that have a lot of maturity issues but it's at least expected of them & they have more years on this planet & they are hopefully held accountable. But even after all of this...why take such personal offense? I don't like the trope. You don't have a problem with this trope...more power to you. Enjoy the show.

I also agreed that it would be red flags galore if it was realistically speaking. I understand if a character behaves like an asshole it can be a turn off...I have dropped many a show due to this unfortunately. When it comes to shows/movies I just set myself to certain standards & rules of what I'm going to put up with. In Check Out I hated the entire cast. I think I dropped it ep 5? But some shows, depending on certain things, I was able to get through without further disappointment. Anyway, complaining is your right...complain on.

I understand lots of things... To help YOU understand, my comment to the OP was that this show is fantastical. This is NOT real life so anything/everything is fair game. Stories are made up for many reasons...entertainment as one of them. This is not based off of a true story...it's imaginary. Who's to say what could happen to anyone "realistically"? They could break up, die, cheat on each other...OR....run for president, get married, have 3 kids, live on a yacht, & become millionaires. Sure there are aspects of it that one could relate to their own life as the OP seemed to be doing or could do, as I understood. Relating to a story or emotions or instances can be great as the viewer can form a connection positive or negative. Realistically lots of things can happen obviously. In this case though, as with many BL's, realistic happenings are not exactly common. Does everyone sleep with all of the lights on? Wear sweaters as pajamas? Sober & fever reducing wipe downs are real? Coming to life as a teddy bear? The entire Oh! My Sunshine Night comes to mind. I'm not sure that "normal" was the message being sent regarding the key card. I also do not think that "shows like these are targeted towards fetishizers", as I'm unclear as to what the fetish is...I'd like to think of myself in a higher regard than being labeled a "fetishizer" for watching a show. You & I clearly understand things differently & that's ok. We are all here to watch these shows for our own reasons. I hate to hear people take it so seriously as it can be harmful if done so. Maybe the websites that air some of these shows should find a way to enforce ratings as there are reasons why mature content & 18+ is labeled.

No but seriously, it DOES matter that it's fictional because in the real world, which we both live in, it would be a problem...red flags galore. With that said, in this fictional world where we are privy to all sides of the story, Pai is not doing ANYTHING with any malicious intent. He hasn't yet done anything in any way that is harmful to Sky & I highly doubt he is planning to do so in the future. Also, there are so many plot holes in most BL's that suspending disbelief is LITERALLY a requirement. We cannot be a part of every conversation, every argument, every meal, etc. The story has to flow & it needs to flow quickly as we do not get very many episodes with much time to explore all aspects of said relationship. If one is incapable of looking past plot holes, falling kisses, fever/drunken wipe downs, cut lips, dry desert sand kisses & the dreaded episode 11, then BL is not for you. I understand your argument but in the grand scheme of the story, IMO, it's too small of a detail & it possibly could come in handy in the next 2 episodes where we end up saying "good thing he creepily had an extra key card made for himself or Sky could have died". Or not...LOL

I actually thought that they were pretty damn natural! The second time they got it on I was pleasantly surprised by how normal they were. I mean, was there dry kissing? Sure. But I actually found that I didn't mind nearly as much as I usually do! From the pace & low key comedy of the first couple of episodes I wasn't expecting tear jerking moments but here I am sniffling. Another welcome surprise! Are there plot holes? Sure. Are we expected to suspend disbelief with a little more things other than the super natural? Totally. But I think this will be easy enough to stick to with minor complaints!
I just watched the latest trailer & was absolutely enthralled & enjoying it right up until...is that fuckin Benz I just saw? I don't think I have EVER felt this much irrational hatred towards an actor & it's completely uncalled for, maturely speaking of course, but something about his face makes me want to gouge out my eyes. I have waited for this show for so long & really have been looking forward to it but the absolute loathing venom I feel towards this actor may derail me LOL.
