ANYWHO, my actual review cause I hopped on here AS SOON as I finished the episode and the preview.
Vulnerable Sean is something I have been, not so patiently, waiting for since the series started, and getting to understand the true pain Sean has been dealing with for a very long time. I'm so glad he opened up to White about it, and I'm really happy to see the healthy way White dealt with his dark past by merely being at his side.
The trust fall aspect was SO ADORABLE. White, drunk and falling off the bed and having Sean catch him, then using it as the way White told Sean he trusted him. Though, the tying to the bed was HILARIOUS and Todd walking in like "Bro, tf kind of kinky shi- are you into?" That made me CRY with laughter. Part of me hopes Todd isn't the bad guy, but that really is wishful thinking seeing as he pries so much about what White is up to.
YOK AND DAN. Okay, I'm unsure how many people caught this, but Dan spoke about his sins and how he felt exposed to them. If most of us have seen the trailer they put out for 'Not Me' a year ago, you will see that Dan was beating down Black. The reminder didn't go unnoticed by me and I think Dan feels terrible for what he'd done to Black, and he wants to make up for it. Honestly, I could be wrong, but who knows? I suppose the reason for Dan, if he indeed did do it, would be practical force upon him because of his job as a cop. WHO KNOWS?
The ICONIC rooftop kiss scene NUMBER TWO: Sorry, Pat and Pran are still my number one, from the Bad Buddy Series, but good lord, was this rooftop scene a close competitor! Sean seemed to be testing White after finding out he wore glasses and had now switched to contacts, and was testing it out, but either way, I loved that scene to pieces. Black seemed to never blink when it came to Sean's safety, and I'd have to think Black had a reason for everything he did, but I think a redemption arc is more for his character, or a mix of both? Who knows at this point. Maybe Sean did kiss White to seal in the fact Black was actually White, but we will find out as it goes. The scene itself was beautiful and I was screaming at my computer the same way I did during Pat and Pran's iconic rooftop scene.
I'm very excited to see where this story will lead since we all know Black is FINALLY returning next episode! It's about time, and I'm very ready to see Gun act both the parts. Off and Gun have improved SO much from their first show to now, and the way each of them hold so many emotions in their eyes is AMAZING.
Now, Black will be back, (hopefully) ready to not only figure out who hurt him, but also to snatch his man, Gram. Yes, Gun is out here gathering all the men in this series.
GUYS HEAR ME OUT. I think Black comes back next episode. I watched the preview and matched it to the trailer. When White and Sean go to that abandoned building to spy on Tawi, black is wearing the same outfit he was in the trailer when Black shows up in his black hoodie. I COULD BE WRONG. BUT I THINK MAYBE???
The pride flag scene with Offgun will now FOREVER be my favorite scene with those two. The POWER it created was immaculate, and I'm not over it.
Also, Yok & Dan having a REAL conversation, and the way they look at each other. Holy, it was intense and everything we have been WAITING not so patiently for!
