I think Hei Tou confessed to the crime because of Mudan. He loves Mudan and he must have an idea that she participated in killing Li Yun. And known as a heinous criminal, he has this urged to take the credit as someone who killed another criminal. That's my take😃

The person who wanted to assasinate LLF is Chamberlain Yang, he is working under the new emperor. The person who wanted to kill SWM is the current Prime Minister. He sees SWM as a threat to his position. I haven't seen these two antagonists in S1.😀

I love Fei. He adds much dynamics and entertainment that you can seldom see in a drama. I think he is the glue guy of the team. And the actor portrying him is very natural.😃

In a movie Di Renjie the one starred by Andy Lau, there was also a character like Fei. He was a shabby old man who was also knowledgable and knew about medicine and he also lived in the ghost market if my memory is right. But I think Fei is phenomenal.

Xijun and Xue Huan...I'm still wishing for that sweet reunion. Hope they will compensate us in the next season.

I'm so happy that many have grown to love Xijun's character. As I said before, I love her in S1 and love her even more this season. I read some comments from S1 that they dropped the drama because of her and others skipped her parts. Their reasons were that she was annoying, because at the start she was a cry baby and uttered Xiao all the time. But for me, she had a reason to be like that. At the very young age she and General Xiao were engaged to be married. After so many years they met again and she deeply fell in love and really thought that they could be together for the rest of their lives. But after a few months, she got the news that he died in the battlefield. If I were her, I will also be heartbroken and whether to believe the sad news or not. ...
One of the reasons why I keep watching S1 is when I saw Lu Lingfeng's portrait instead of that General Xiao, and I laughed at Su Wuming's priceless reaction when he saw the portrait. And I was like, "Ah, there might be some bits of interesting romance in here." I was not wrong and I love the subtle romance (and the reason why Iam still here for S2) When the drama progressed, I got to know more about Xijun. She is sweet, sensible, kind, brave and intelligent and a noble lady that can cook😁. She has never done some stupid schemes to get notice by LLF or to make him commit to her. Instead, she is of great help to them in solving cases. She is also not afraid to voice out her opinion against LLF if he is being insensible and unreasonable. Yeah, it was reckless of her to follow LLF out of Chang'an but later I also learned that she is the kind of lady that treasures every moment and believes that there are some chances that can't be missed coz it might not come again. That's why she happily told LLF that it was the first time that they paint together while they were painting the Arming of Taiyin Sect Map.

Truth is... I am sometimes annoyed with LLF for not taking care of Xijun. Even her father was critical of LLF in S1 coz he didn't escort her back to Chang'an. He also didn't come to visit Xijun. He was so immerse in his work and forget about her. He only remembered her when he needed her help. But she is so understanding and never complained and she is always willing to help him. She understands his desire to serve the people and the country. I was so happy when she asked LLF for cherry dumplings as her reward. That was a smart move in her side. I don't want to see LLF taking advantage of her. He even said some sarcastic words to Xijun and didn't tell her that Qin Xiaobai was willing to take her as his disciple because he was jealous of him. But somehow I forgave LLF's misgivings towards Xijun. At least he is loyal to her. He respects her and he is protective of her feelings. He doesn't want to have any misunderstanding with her especially when it comes to cases that involve other women. And this season he made some move to show that he cares and appreciates Xijun. I am so glad that he did not leave her alone in Chang'an and did not insist on leaving her in Yunding. Next season, I want LLF to do more for Xijun. I don't want him to make use of the word wife and wedding just for the sake of solving cases. I want him to marry her and be his wife😁

Should I complain that Mrs Ma has laid more fingers on LLF than PXJ did? Lol. It was part of solving the case so l'll let it go😂

Yingtao is the heroine this team needs. She can do some cheeky stuffs that a fine lady like Xijun cant do. And I think with these group of six the team is complete.

I've notice that in the last two cases our two ladies, Xijun and Yingtao have been more active and doing more than the previous cases. Yingtao helped SWM with the autopsy and Xijun went with LLF to do some interrogation. They also reason and ponder with LLF and SWM and even Fei has done more this seaon than the previous one. Hopefully this can carry over to the next season coz I also want them to be involved more. They can split the team as Yingtao going with SWM, Xijun with LLF, and Fei with Xue Huan so that each one has someone to protect them. Xijun and Yingtao can also do some investigation together like they did in Immortal steps case😃

I love Xijun's and Yingtao's sisterhood. They have already clicked since S1. I love the scene where she and SWM eating the cherry dumplings. She thougt of bringing some to Xijun wihout knowing that she was also there and Xijun was so happy to acknowledged her thoughtfulness😃

I love Xijun and my favorite. I also want to see more of her in S3 joining the investigation. She really becomes the integral part of the team and without her help we will be missing so much something I guess. I also want more sweet moments from her and Lulu😃 Hopefully the production team can read our comments and satisfy our heart's desire😁

I don't mind either. I think they chose that outfit to match the plot of the case, and for me, it did match perfectly. Besides we are not able to see that outfit until the end of the drama. Lulu wore a simple black outfit when they raided the Yunding Immortal Steps.

I like how the actor YZG portrays SWM too. It is kind of original and it really fits SWM character, and even fits the way he looks 😄

I also want to comment on Lulu's outfits and I love all of them. There is a scene in Mara's defeat
case where he is standing in the crowd with Xijun while watching Xiobai finish the mural. He is wearing that black outfit and Xijun standing next to him wearing a female dress . That scene looks so dashing to me that I keep replaying it and listening to Xijun talking to him.

I also noticed that Lulu's and Xijun's outfits have the same hues most of the time. I also like Xijun's outfits especially like those man's outfit but the feminity is still there😄

As what I understand of it, the emperor can't kill LLF because the princess might feel targeted and their relationship was laid out by SWM. And because the princess has still influence over the court she can order SWM to investigate. So the emperor cant act rushly so he demoted LLF and assigned him to Yunding for the time being.

In the pagoda I think the princess knew that SWM was trying to save LLF that's why she asked him if it is worth it. He could have a bright career as a President of the Supreme Court. The princess thought that she could protect LLF but SWM thinks
otherwise.

I am also anticipating a sweet reunion from Xijun and Xue Huan; coz I really love their relationship in S1 but they didn't put much emphasis about them in S2. This little thing could have warm my heart. Now I'm wishing for a special eps just for this. 🙄

I'm excited too! I really want them to roll with the 6 main casts. Their chemistry are great 😃

I think many love Lulu and Xijun's romance that they dont really want Xijun to leave Lulu forever that's why they got angry with her words.

I remember in S1 when they are solving the case of the four scholars of Nanzhou and SWM said that she and LLF has really different personalities and Xijun answered to SWM that in order to make LLF to be careful in judging cases like her sworn brother she is the best helper LLF needs. And that's still hold true in this season and in that four
women's case.

They really have to watch S1 to stop pointing fingers at Xijun and to understand where she is coming from.

@SakuraDream I think the other two scenes were from when they are investigating the Mara's defeat case. I deduced it from what Lulu is wearing and he mentioned about thunder and lightning and the appearance of something😄

Love this drama from S1 to S2 and I can't wait for S3. I'm so happy that this group of six are going back to Chang'an together so the wait for next season wont be that hard. And I want the main casts back! They have done a good job portraying their characters that I don't see anyone doing it.

With the same casts, right?

I think there are so many good actors in this drama and i do love their performance
