I started watching the series from epi 1 on youtube. I immediately got choked up. Not a sad feeling but just emotional. Ever inch of film we see SO many things we did not see on round one. Like literally in the first few minutes when QL is upstairs on the phone and CY waves to him that the food is ready, there is a time warp/worm hole type thing that happens and QL shakes his head like to snap out of it. Party people, please don't tell me this a dream within a dream within a dream. I would totally accept past lives flashes and then all these little warps / dejavu that happens get strung together to see a whole separate life. I need this to end hahaha Then I can rewatch peacefully on a tv screen.

Hey can someone say to me if this is a dark romance? The sinopses seens interesting, but I am really not in the…
I would add it to your watch list and circle back when your time is right. It’s not a fluffy bright lit BL. It’s more like a mature series with gay characters. It’s set in the mountains with lots of dim lighting. The love and affection is very tender and never nude or movements depicting sex or anything. They pulled off what they consider NC scenes and it’s in a separate string of videos on their YouTube channel or GagaOOLala

Lots of family trauma and drama. Lots of really lovely character growth and serious love blooming and maintained.

The cinematography is off the chart. The actors are amazing All episodes seem to have different run times since they pull off romantic NC scenes. It’s a Chinese made gay series but ban there so distributed via Thailand like a boss lol

I hope you can see it one day! If you do and have any questions along the way DM and I’ll be there to help out.

Maybe, this clip is not related to series? It could be just performance by Kuma, I've read that after his idol…
Based on other comments this is a dance he will or did shoot for the series. Idk yet if we get it in final episode or small theater. Either way the white masked men I hope are protectors and he is conjuring up the wind. #CYQLFOREVER

Sometimes, violent impulses are best controlled with discipline. And it's easier to get disciplined when it's…
Agreed 100%. Excellent t point! Now that you say that remember in the scene while he was watching the parents Livestream, he had the relaxing balls in one hand , the phone in the other . Self soothe! Didn’t work (it worked for his purpose but you know what I mean haha)

I think it’s the same costume as in the series photos. I believe it’s on the channel clips as well. If I find it on the Yt channel I’ll post the link

The YouTube channel reuploaded the latest video. I didn’t see any change unless they fixed a sub.

Also

We learned early on that supposedly CY has rage issue and beat the shit out of some kids and he was sent to the mountains. CY early on said the world is cruel and he is safest in the mountains. Yet he went to hunting school by choice which is an elite military special forces training. Basically a killing machine.

Now we see him planning and executing an entire hit. Stealth.

Some would say it’s a red flag. I’m from Miami and we say this is fine lol

Oddsare wrote an amazing response to this question 19 days ago. Hunt it out. You won't find a better answer anywhere.
Found it on their feed but no share button
Thank you

Below is their post: @oddsare

Shoutout to @ellieamoury, who asked in a comment whether “A Winter Sun” translates literally from the Mandarin, and whether Winter Sun and Spring Hill are actually Feng Qinglang and Xu Changyang. She said she looked for discussions on this and came up blank. Well, your instinct was exactly right, and you just gave me the excuse to write the post I’ve been sitting on. So let’s talk about the title.

Okay, I need to nerd out about the title for a minute, because the more I sit with it, the more I’m convinced it’s not just a title. It’s a map.

The full Chinese title is 寒陽風起春山境. The English one is “A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills’ Dream.” They look like the same thing wearing two languages. They’re not. And the difference starts with the names.

Take Feng Qing Lang first. His name in Chinese is 風晴朗. 風 is literally wind. 晴朗 means a clear, bright, sunny sky. So his whole name is a weather report. A bright windy sky, walking around as a person.

Now read the first half of the title again. 寒陽風起. A cold sun, and the wind rises. That’s not scenery. That’s him. The rising wind is Feng Qing Lang stepping into the story. And the cold sun fits too. When we meet him, he’s at the top of his career, still shining, still visible, but there’s something tired underneath, something slightly numb. He’s not spring sunshine. He’s winter light. Bright, with a chill in it. So the title is quietly saying: this winter sun of a man arrives, and the wind that is his presence starts changing everything.

Then there’s Xu Chang Yang, 許徜徉. His name works completely differently. 許 is just the surname. But 徜徉 is a verb. It means to wander, to stroll freely, to roam through open space. And here’s the thing about that word. You can’t 徜徉 in a cramped apartment. The word itself needs room. It needs light and nature. His name is telling you where he belongs before the show ever takes you there.

Which is exactly what the second half of the title gives him. 春山境. Spring mountain realm. The spring hills are the literal setting, the tea mountain, the countryside, the softer world away from the city. But 境 is the word I can’t get over. It doesn’t just mean place. It means state, atmosphere, realm, mood. So 春山境 isn’t “a mountain in springtime.” It’s a whole world with its own rhythm. And for a man whose name means to wander, that phrase is home. He lives inside it.

Put it together and the Chinese title is doing something almost sneaky. Without naming either of them, it turns Qing Lang into weather and Chang Yang into landscape. Sun and wind on one side, spring hills on the other. The title isn’t describing the story. It’s the two of them, already merged into sky and land before episode one even starts.

The English title works from the same images, but it can’t do the trick. “A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills’ Dream” reads as one long poetic sentence, a little story in itself. Sun appears, wind wakes, all of it inside a dream. For viewers who don’t read Chinese, it does its job through mood. You can feel this will be a slow, reflective romance, not a loud one. What it can’t carry is the name play. An English reader has no way to know that “wind” is literally Feng’s surname, or that the spring mountain realm is built out of Chang Yang’s wandering.

So here’s how I’d put it. The Chinese title is written from the inside. If you read Chinese, the names echo through it, and the two of them feel woven into the sky and the land. The English title is written from the outside. It gives up the wordplay and keeps the atmosphere, handing international viewers the mood of the world they’re about to enter.

One says: these two men are the weather and the landscape of this story. The other says: this is the dreamlike world their love belongs to.

I wrote before that the word “dream” in the English title made me nervous, because dreams dissolve when you wake up. I still feel that. But knowing the Chinese title now, I’m less worried. In the original, they’re not dreaming the world. They are the world.

Okay, I need SOMEONE to at least stop and just ask Changyang if HE'S okay!!!! Give him a hug too. That man has…
Since the moment he came back from the forest I’ve been posting about this. Really not everyone’s fault though. QL lost a brother. CY big brother lost a love. QT mom and grandma lost their baby. They are unavailable at this time. It is a cluster of emotional trauma. For CY in particular everyone he loves is grieving and he alone holds the vision of the scene /site forever. IT BREAKS ME!!

Regarding the white masked people watching QL dance, I googled it. This was the reply

In traditional Chinese dance and folk theater—such as Nuo Dance or regional opera staging—masked men in the background represent divine protectors, spirits, or silent supernatural forces watching over the mortal world. They act as spiritual guardians, anchoring the ritual context of the performance

Thank you! I noticed Zelia did not write the last two songs on the play list. Has anyone analyzed these last two songs?

All of the sudden I am wondering has the series ever gone off a mountain setting? Have we only seen the main leads in the mountain regions? Then we get an ending ment at an award show in a clip trailer or did he accept the award via video?

Did QL write his entire life story in his head. My logical brain says NO GIRL STOP. Who dwells about so much loss totally wack! Anyone willing to knock me off this cliff? Haha

Also I don’t think the promo work they’ve been doing for the farms would allow it if this ends sad. Who wants to visit ghost mountain.

Yu and Yi Together [Super Topic]
Their story began with the ordinary moments of everyday life, and their feelings gradually deepened with the passing of time, like fresh shoots in a tea garden eventually becoming a clear, refreshing cup of tea. Going back eight months, by the streams in the mountains and forests, the two first met, drawn together by coincidence and reality. Until that night, when fireworks suddenly burst into bloom, an unexpected joy illuminated the astonishment in their eyes. Now, the quickening heartbeat when their fingertips touch is proof that fate had already tied them together from the very beginning, and never loosened its hold.

《NEW ROMANTICS》× @.刘竞屿 @.熊艺文Kuma’s first magazine cover together, the Qixi Festival issue, will go live on August 19. Please continue to stay tuned for more exciting content

I’ve blocked the series and actors names from myself on TwitterX. Fans are starting to psych out just in case it’s a sad ending. Someone even posted a couple pic of Leslie Cheung and his partner . Omg no.
I will retire forever if that happens here. .

I am going to trust her. No propaganda here. They used Thai name, they’ve been super strict on no intimate fan service. No pretend BF’s or dating rumors. It’s very mature and no reason to die “going to market to get salt” IYKYK
There is NO way it’s sad end.

Now I have a week to wait. Any new BL recommendations welcomed. I’m on my third rewatch of Prosecuotrs Proposal lol
