"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -- George SantayanaThe lads going off to war…
It is sad. This country has been repeatedly invaded its entire existence. Looks like this love story in one town is during a months long failed attempt to protect itself. I have never gone in knowing this would be so sad but I am prepared. It's worth watching the performances and knowing, no matter what, humans love. These stories are important reminder of that . Cry fest commence I am on epi 1!

I’m fully aware this drama is going to break my heart at the end so I will be pleasantly surprised if it doesn’t.…
I finally broke down and subscribed to Kocowa because I can't wait anymore. Is this whole series a flash back of the leads story/life by someone reading about it or are we in their time now as we watch? Ty!

There is a segment where Yibo is talking to his parents explaining why he must continue to test pilot. To me that single part of the film would invigorate a nation. So well done.
I am a massive Yibo the person fan. I am a new Yushi the actor can. This is a propaganda filled movie and the back drop of the writers true events. I am happy he was able to get his story told with an iconic male lead while helping the Chinese gov. . I would have much rather read the book. This movie was made for their audience and did great at the box office. For that I am so happy again for the writer and all involved with the film. It is short so if you are a Yibo fan YES it is worth seeing him. He does a great job. There is not a lot of dialogue. There are few flashes of Yushi in the film. Not enough to even catch a breath. It's not all CGI. There are some pretty desert shots and night scenes. There is a touching scene where a widow listens to voicemails and her son over hears. It's quite touching and a reminder, front line workers & military personnel love their family AND country. Don't ask them to put it in order. Just let them do what they were called to do. Hero's. 7.5/10 overall 8.5/10 for Yibo delivers an awesome line to his parents and some seasoned cast member who delivered his screen time so well.
weird. so much going on and it's all over the place but nothing substantial. I am trying to get through Ep 1
I felt the same way. Then by three quarters of way I got a handle on it. I'll keep going with it. I love the plot and I like the FL. I don't expect a happy ending. I don't think I care either haha
