just watched eps 3 and 4, about to start ep 5. I’ve seen comments since last week about ep 4, the betrayal,…
Hello Sunshine! I wanted to write similar things! What I am thinking is that the writers depicted FL's character as smart and witty. However, in 3 years she could not patch together that: 1. she and her friend were brought in as traitors by the Kim duo (father and son) and the obnoxious friend's brother - so they were first framed by them 2. accused of denouncing the prince/king as a spy/traitor: never asked herself why the king thought like that? 3. The one-eyed guy: he was dispatched by her very father, and he knew very well the order was coming from the king, so why he did not say anything to "my lady" and instead plotted against the king?
When he was Prince and there was the first rain, he saw FL with Kim, and FL forfeited their game date to spend time with Kim. The Prince could think that FL was plotting to gain his trust so she could stab him in his back.
In 3 years of plotting revenge, she thought she was right 100% and could not see that a lot of misunderstandings were piling up.
Then, SML knew very well that his father was the real traitor but still, acted as if he had the right on his side and wanted an act of revenge: his father was planning to kill the Prince, so I am not sure he was a saint to be vindicated...
Another random thought: among the population, there is gossip that the King has many women, but the servant who spies for FL says he doesn't spend time with any women, except the court lady (don't remember her name). So, why are these rumours around? Who spread them? for what purpose?
This plot is thick and a bit frustrating, to be honest. I can feel the loneliness and boiling rage of ML, who had his brother against him, and his mother and could not trust anyone.
