I don't think not wanting to come out/being scared of coming out is cowardly. Speaking as a queer person.... You…
I totally understand the frustration of the situation.
But I just have to ask, are you a Queer person? I am a gay man, who is 25 years old, with a good job and great friends, yet I am not out at all to anyone in my family. Only my friends, my sister know.
Coming out is a personal choice, one that takes courage because irrespective of how others see it, the person who is coming out is the one who will be dealing with the consequences. I am still not all that comfortable with my sister knowing because I feel that telling her destroyed her version of me. The big brother who would grow up, get married to a woman, who would giver her a sister in law. That version has been destroyed, and that version was NEVER going to happen anyways. But STILL, I think about it.
I honestly also don't go into relationships because I know that it means being totally part of each other lives and families, and I can;'t give that to the other person. But at the same time, I have no place to judge another.
I am gay, I like men, and maybe once day I'll come out, but it will be on my own terms, and I wish the same for others. IRL or Characters in a BL tv show.
Part 1 I was in tears, part 2 angry, part 3 tears, part 4 MORE TEARS of JOY!!!! This episode delivered my long held wish. Type finally admitted his love for Tharn and now they're together. I'm sure there will be more tears on my end before this series is over but I needed this episode ????????????. Now to wait for a whole week????????????
So when is Director New actually going to give a dark skin FULL thai girl a chance? his insistence on casting…
Does there need to be more diverse casting in terms of colour or ethnicity? probably. But the actor (gender nuetral) that the director casts is actually one of my favorites due to her genuineness, which I'm sure is why P'New keeps working with her. The industry as a whole has a long ways to go, the same as Thai society in terms of colorism, but that truly isn't a major negative remark. Sammy is a great actor who thoughtfully portrays her characters.
P.S. How many female actors do you think would be willing to play secondary in a Thai drama? I'm sure that not many are willing to work in the Thai BL sphere due to stigma attached to same sex relationships in society, which is the reason we have the SAME group of male actors in this industry.
Yoooooooo, NETFLIX coming through with the Thai Flexx!!!!! I'm so psyched for this movie. Especially because N'Perth…
The fact that Netflix is investing in more international content and is making it a point to ensure that they market it just as well as their American content i.e. Stranger Things, is ????????????????
Yoooooooo, NETFLIX coming through with the Thai Flexx!!!!! I'm so psyched for this movie. Especially because N'Perth in it and he's soooo got he makes me ????. But seriously, I need more BL with N'Perth as the main role
Umm just watched the preview of the next episode, and I'm shook. They just started getting together and P'Type is going to friend request a new girl? Also he said they're just friends if the sex part is taken out? My heart ain't ready.
Definitely, the attention this series has created in the first few episodes has generated enough buzz, and this…
I know right. This was literally one of the first bedroom scenes that didn't make cringe. It was one of the most believable bedroom scenes I've watched yet. Also P'Mew was definitely into it based on his shorts during the bed room scenes which only sold it as more believable.
There are no words that can describe how good this series is. While I know there are issues around true trauma experienced by Type and explicit consent vs implicit consent, I love that we are able to see BL characters that are multidimensional and nuanced. The pace seems a little fast, mainly because we aren't able to actualise the passage of time with visual cues, but I'm romantic AF and fall hard and fast, so this works for me. I'm really excited to see how the MC relationship progresses and the effect it'll have on some of the couples, i.e. the neighbours (a ship that I didn't know I needed).
P.S. I hope this gives P'Mew more exposure. We need more BL actors who are actually gay to have more roles and more global exposure.
P'New is an amazing director, and I can't wait to see LBC 2 the follow up to my ATF BL series ????????????
