I've tried this and have succeeded a couple times. The gif is so true(my cousins thought Japanese Hana Kimi was not that funny/interesting, I was speechless lol) I think people stick to the entertainment they're used to, or which is socially acceptable. They can/will become drama fans if only they'll give it a chance. There's something for everyone. It's like finding the right book.
