Smart FL and darkly handsome ML. Good starting points for me. ;) A few good kisses and a decent end, although somewhat rushed, lol. Baddies got some karma and that's always good for me.
Qian Zhe did aggressive, lurking walk very well, lol. Mostly a sweet romance once initial misunderstanding was resolved. First time to watch Peng Dai Dai. I liked her sometimes perkiness. A few good kisses. Really liked the chair kiss, wink wink. Did smile at the number of times ML said he would protect the FL AFTER something happened. But, you know the scripts like this often rinse and repeat ;). Liked his parents. Mom so cute in wanting FL for her daughter-in-law.

I liked Du Ya Fei without the glasses in this one. It's always interesting to see the difference between wearing and not wearing glasses. Liked the chemistry between the two. Loved the ML's little smiles behind the FL's back. Made him look even cuter. Nice kiss at beginning. A couple more later. I've seen this story line before, so sometimes they overlap in my brain, lol. Nice visuals with this couple. Loved her bestie as well.

I became a bit bored with the FL character. I do like the leads, but thought the relationship was somewhat boring. The crazypants 2ml did a good job with his character. And evidently it would have killed someone to throw in a kiss scene. Sorta nailed the coffin for me.
I think this is only the second series I've seen Wang Yi Ran in and about the fourth for Hou Cheng Yue. I liked their chemistry. He does do possessive-crazy-lay-down-my-life for you well. Jwells summed him up nicely for this role in her comments below. ;) it would have been nice to know where the woo-woo bracelets came from. But there's always missing information in these. I did want to slap the FL for believing the 2ml. And why do the villains get soooo many chances? You try to kill me and I ain't going to turn my back to you again until you are in custody. Or dead, lol. Oh, wait. Forgot to check my logic at the door before typing this... Ok, I'm back in fantasy land now. Off to more viewing... Oh, did I fail to mention sizzling kisses??? Nicely done.

The one on DM was already axed within 2 hours of Jwells posting it. So, i was thankful amelian posted a link. YES! They were on fire ;). Would love to see more of them. Yes, it's frustrating at times with the subs. It used to really bother me, but now I just make up my own interpretation. Like "Green tea girl" = "phony little witch who i desperately want to slap". Lmao. ;)
Ok, so you raise a child for TWENTY years only to find out that child is not your biological child. You find your lost biological child and suddenly the first child becomes the devil. Lol. Like, can't you remember your love for your child or all the good memories. Seen this plot line multiple times. Glad the baddies got some karma. Glad to see smokin' chemistry, especially in first parts of series, and ON FIRE kisses. Really love this actress and he's nice to look at ;)

I think my laptop caught fire from some of those kisses and briefly seen love scenes, lol! (Yes, for those that haven't seen my comments, I OWN that I really do like a good kiss scene, lol!) I was on the fence, at times, with the ML, but he admitted he wasn't a good person. The FL was good at playing naive and innocent, but did show some growth later. Yes, it had predictably, but it's a reused script for the most part. Gotta admit I rated higher simply because of the kisses. Anyway, I watch these short series to clear my mind, give me smiles and emotional flutters. That being said, there's always questions regarding our humanity when I watch these. Sometimes, not many and othertimes a lot depending on the script. I know there's a push in China to more closely regulate content, such as no evil grandparents. Instead grandparents should be presented as wise and caring. Well, duh, who doesn't want grandparents like that. I view all the deplorable behaviors of characters, from whatever country of origin, as a moral from which to learn or teach. Happy viewing! Ending spoiler below.
