Love how they made Kuea's character speak in English sometimes because it's something common with people who are bilingual. We talk in those two languages we're familiar with. Also, his pronunciations were on point and very convincing. Excited to see the next episodes and I hope they keep up with the superb quality.
I mean I understand your point of view but instead of just finding it funny how he acts, they constantly ridicule…
I agree with you. The only thing I didn't like about it was how they depicted the locks being dirty. I hated that part so much. I should have mentioned it in my comment but I just wanted to point out that they were making his character appreciative of the Jamaican culture.
Making him dirty due to his hair must have been ignorant on their part but I don't know why a part of me wants to believe that they were trying to show that he was obsessed with writing his comic that he didn't pay attention to his hygiene.
Few minutes before that ending, I was already telling myself it wouldn't make sense if anyone lived. Glad my thoughts were reflected upon lol. It was a much deserved ending. I felt like so much could have been avoided too and maybe it would have a different ending but I guess this was for the best. The cinematography is beautiful.
This drama gave me comfort when I needed some. It was just the kind of light, family-oriented drama I didn't think I needed at the time. Even though it was cringe sometimes, it soothed me and I enjoyed watching it. There were some good life lessons as well. Also, as a black person...I didn't see any of that as being racist. It's clear he's just a fan of the Jamaican culture. Haha and that part where he met a Nigerian made me squeal a little, I wasn't expecting that lol.

The flies weren't necessary. Sigh.
